@ErickWeber Wild how studios are dropping thousands on influencers to hype films…then act surprised when their films flop in theaters. Everyone sounds the same, and instead of real reporters, we’re getting people who barely know anything about film. It’s embarrassing.

@TheJewAbides @matthewdmarsden It got just 3 Oscar noms in 2005 (cinematography, score, makeup), but honestly deserved way more. Best Picture, Actor (Jim Caviezel), Supporting Actress (Maia Morgenstern), Director (Mel Gibson), Costume, and Editing.

@matthewdmarsden It should have been nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Score, Cinematography, Best Sound, Best Actor, Best Set Design, Best Costume,

@matthewdmarsden The fact that #ThePassionoftheChrist got zero Oscar love for Jim Caviezel, Maia Morgenstern, Mel Gibson, or even categories like Best Picture, Editing, and Costume Design says a lot. The Oscars really do overlook some incredible films. Always have. Always will. @TheAcademy

@OscarRunnerUp Danielle Deadwyler deserved a nom and could’ve won that year. Cate Blanchett was great in Tár, but Danielle would’ve been an amazing winner too. Andrea Riseborough earned her spot; the real misses were Danielle and Viola Davis over Ana de Armas and Michelle Williams.

Danielle Deadwyler did not receive an Oscar nomination for Till (2022). Do you think she deserved an Oscar nomination? Would you have voted for her to win?

@DiscussingFilm I’m really glad John Hannah is joining Brendan and Rachel again, it’s always exciting to see familiar faces return. Now I’m just waiting on Oded Fehr. I’ve got a feeling he might be announced soon, especially after those recent photos with the long hair.

@DiscussingFilm Honestly, I wish they brought back Stephen Sommers. He nailed the tone of the first two Mummy films, fun, adventurous, and perfectly campy. That big blockbuster energy is exactly what I’d love to see again.

@DiscussingFilm A bit unsure about Radio Silence directing part 4. They’ve said they’re fans of Scream & Wes Craven, but the tone and suspense didn’t fully land for me in Scream 5 & 6 (especially 5). Felt like they stuck too closely to a weaker script instead of adjusting it.

@DiscussingFilm That said, I do have one concern about the new sequel. It seems like they might be ignoring the events of the third film. Even though it wasn’t on the same level as the first two, it’s still part of the overall story, so it feels a little strange to leave it out completely.

@jpmovies24 Dune 1 > Dune 2 for me. The first one’s all world building and politics, a slow burn that never drags. Dune 2 sometimes felt like a typical blockbuster. Hoping Dune 3 brings back what made the first one so special.

@TheInSneider The host wasn’t the issue. The real problem? Not enough standout films to get people excited and most of the winners felt predictable. Hard to tune in when you already know how it’s going to end.

BREAKING: Oscars ratings plunge 9% from last year to 17.9 million viewers, the lowest-rated show since 2022. Hate to say it, but it's time to move on. Movie awards demand movie hosts...

@Jabz_CFC Delroy Lindo is super talented and I’m glad he finally got recognized at the Academy. That said, this performance was solid, not his best so the nomination feels right. He was way stronger in Da 5 Bloods… that’s the one he should’ve won for.

@jason_blum First horror movie I saw in theaters was Eli Roth’s Cabin Fever (2003). Packed crowd, everyone screaming during the shaving scene. I still remember the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) trailer played before it. Peak theater memories.

Steven Spielberg this. Christopher Nolan that. Guys, I’m riding or dying with Denis Villeneuve through 2026 and there isn’t anyone that can stop me. My single most anticipated film of the year.

@SitoCinema For me it’s about a 7/10. I felt like the whole vampire element wasn’t really necessary. I would’ve loved to see them focus more on the Black culture and the experiences of how people were treated during the KKK era.

@thewrongelijah And if they skip Timothée, what about Ethan Hawke? His performance outshone the winner. Felt like a pity win after the BAFTA backlash.

you people need to watch movies man and stop thinking someone deserves something just cuz you have the same skin colour. the acting in Marty supreme was too generational for this and we'll look back at this in a light of DiCaprio's "Wolf of Wall Street" snub till then...Dune 3
