Ok. Vulnerable post but here we are. I just weighed in at 141.4 lbs. Since Sept 2024 to today, May 15, 2026, I have lost 100lbs. It hurts to say that and share but I am going to share it because I worked so damn hard every week for over a year and a half to shed this weight. It did not happen overnight. If it wasn’t for having this incredibly challenging goal in fighting @rondarousey I most definitely wouldn’t have reached this. I was pre-diabetic, had trouble simply walking in September 2024 and have been on the path to recovery to turn myself back into an athlete since then. It was hard, SO damn hard.. there was so much to learn, too much to unpack here, ups, downs, plateaus, things I learned late I wish I learned earlier, trial by error but I did it. Thank you to Ronda, who waited patiently while I lost this weight and giving me something to aim for. There is still so much I need to learn and want to do in the health space and to continue transforming my body, but for today, I thank God, my husband and my family for sticking with and encouraging me the whole way. I pray this encourages you wherever you are in your health journey. Believe there is hope. Never give up. Ok.. enough emo, I’ve got a fight tomorrow. We’ve worked so hard to get here. I’m often asked about the pegboard scene in VISION QUEST. That was all me. No stunt doubles or safety measures. I trained for a long time and had to climb it several times to get all the angles. The “trick” is not to over extend, so you’d be pulling up your entire body weight. You have to keep it compact. I understand agreeing or not agreeing with camping. My feeling after observing what is just a cycle of arguing that happens every show is whatever side you are on, clearly the intended message isn’t getting through from either pov. Imo we should just try to enjoy the great shows

A few. My personal favorite is one that’s a criticism of the American healthcare system told from the eyes of a veteran growing old and alone, so he takes matters into his own hands. It would have likely been a Frank Sinatra “impersonation”. But after LOTS and Dog Years, the album was getting a little more su***dal than I was comfortable making the listener endure, so it didn’t make the cut.

I wrote this album in a very uncertain time in my life. Since then, so much has changed and some things have stayed the same. It was clunky and timid at first, but eventually I grew to love and embrace the saga that followed. This album was meant to earmark the possible conclusion to my career. Here’s what happened instead: I challenged myself. I shared my journey, I met thousands of people in similar shoes. I went on the biggest tour of my career, and I’m writing this from the road on a SECOND tour! (One that celebrates my origin story, what poetic justice) It felt like a slow eternity while it was happening, but now I can say the year flew by. There are new trials and new triumphs. But I’m happy for the girl in this video, who needed faith that life would return to beautiful form. I was impersonating someone with that faith, for much of this year. I’m happy to say I don’t have to anymore. It’s for real. If you are someone who connected with or appreciated this heavy, hard, and honest album, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
