@LordOfTwit @Phoenixxl @tijd FSD software voor Europa is niet dezelfde als de VS. Hoewel de NHTSA weet wat ze doen, heeft dit helemaal niks met Europa te maken. Manier van homologatie in de VS is ook tegenovergestelde van Europa.

Set II is ready @ElonMusk "First rule in government spending: Why build something once when you can build it twice for 3x the cost???" We built Set I in a studio near downtown Austin but the space was only available for a week so we had to tear it down last Friday. Like SpaceX, it would be completely unreasonable to expect the first rocket to make it to orbit so on Wednesday I rented an aircraft hanger 15 minutes from Giga Texas and we started construction on Set II. We finished it on Saturday night and can now record anytime in the next 30 days. The most entertaining outcome is the most likely. Let's make this happen. 🏴☠️

A small piece of me died today: teslaandroid(dot)com went down, and it’ll surely take some time before, if ever, it gets back.
I’ll continue to support the project, including the Android 16 update later this year, but there are a few things I need to figure out before pulling the trigger. I’m proud of the community behind the project, and I’ll do my best not to let anyone down.
In these 5 years of grinding I’ve learned a lot, mostly about reverse engineering, vehicle systems, and embedded development. I’ll continue to explore and share my findings, without sharing the magic sauce.
@Tesla, I wish this had started as a conversation. I know I annoyed some people, but there are always solutions where everyone comes out satisfied. I’m open to finding one. If you really need my domains - it's fine, I'll take the stick :)
Generally speaking the handling of the entire self driving fiasco has been poor and I really hope @Tesla will manage to rectify the situation for people who have been using the system in unauthorised regions so that the magic blue button remains deactivated only where it should be disabled :)

🚨 BREAKING: XPENG to launch advanced NGP intelligent driving in Europe in early 2027.
XPENG CEO He Xiaopeng announced today that the company’s Next Generation Pilot (NGP) system, powered by VLA 2.0 technology, will roll out across Europe in early 2027.
The system has already launched successfully in China this March and has been tested extensively on European roads, with “pretty positive” results. He Xiaopeng confirmed he will personally test it on Munich roads later today.
XPENG also plans to work with European partners to introduce its Robotaxi fleet, powered by the same foundation model, in local markets.
A major step forward in XPENG’s global push for autonomous mobility.

'Er gebeurde ''al'' één ongeval met zelfrijdende Tesla's' (in ons land) lees ik vandaag in De Morgen. Toch een bedenking: dat zegt niks op zichzelf. Je moet dat uitzetten tegen het aantal afgelegde km's. Zonder die context is het sfeerschepping.

Voor alle duidelijkheid: het ongeval gebeurde blijkbaar doordat de automobilist overnam en een onvoorzichtig manoeuvre uitvoerde, dus zelfs niet op conto FSD technologie te schrijven. Wij hebben die info gisteren nog bezorgd aan de journaliste in kwestie (die dat vervolgens blijkbaar “vergat” mee te nemen in het artikel).

It works with cold water too but then it takes a little bit longer to make the coffee
