The hadicap committee has decreased Bryan Stingo’s handicap strokes for the final 2 rounds. The 12.3 handicap index was set to receive 9 pops (85%) on the final 2 rounds. He is only receiving 5 after the adjustment. His index would drop to a 7.6 if his last 7 rounds, all in the NET 60’s, were posted. Also, the @GolfGenius ID is suddenly not valid! 😂🤷🏼‍♂️

@TheTennisLetter This doesn’t happen at The Masters. Patrons at Augusta know how to support the players otherwise they are removed.

Novak Djokovic on calling some people in the crowd disrespectful at Wimbledon, ‘They have the freedom to choose who they back in the match… if someone steps over the line, I react’ “Is it time for Wimbledon to take action against crowd members who are overstepping the line?” Novak: “I don’t know what Wimbledon can really do about it. In those particular moments, when the crowd paid their ticket… They have the right to be there and cheer the way they want to cheer. That’s absolutely, you know… how they choose to behave or support the player is really up to them. Yes.. You could argue that maybe a chair umpire or whoever could step in during certain moments and calm them down. But there’s not much you can do.. you’re not gonna take out the section of the whole stadium out because they’re behaving or showing disrespect. It’s just the way it is. It’s part of the sport. It’s one of the reasons we’re here… it’s why the tournament is so important historically and why we’re globally recognized as tennis players is because of the fans. Because of the interest they put into watching tennis matches, paying tickets.. I respect that. I try to acknowledge that. All the true tennis fans that really respect players.. of course you’re gonna support one player over the other. It’s solely up to them. It’s fully understandable. They have the freedom to choose who they back in the match. If someone steps over the line, I react. That’s basically what it was. After the match I said what I said.” (via Wimbledon Press)

Jim I spent the summer/ fall visiting numerous Ontario small towns and chose 10 for my new book “Great Small Towns of Ontario”. Which towns do you think I chose? One town I chose few have heard of 🤔

New study ranks Canada as the world's safest country. Montreal was named world's second safest city. Impressive. Canada isn't perfect, but it's pretty darn good. jimbyerstravel.com/2024/01/19/can… #Canada @DestinationCAN #travel #tourism #cities @Montreal #Montreal

Los Angeles Country Club Rules No shorts while playing golf (tailored pants only) Men must wear a sport coat in the clubhouse after 6 pm No changing shoes in the parking lot No clogs or flip-flops No headphones or earbuds No athletic clothes or apparel with slogans No photos or videos of the club on social media Members are responsible for all charges their guests incur No cash is used on the property outside of paying the caddies (no tipping) And perhaps the craziest rule of them all, LACC members and visitors can only make phone calls from either A) their parked car or B) an enclosed phone booth in the locker room. I'm devasted to have to report the passing of Ian Hutchinson. The president of Golf News Now apparently died this morning of heart failure at his home in Newmarket. The family says details of a Celebration of Life will be provided later. Golf wont be the same without Hutch. RIP.
