NHS activity has doubled over ten years!
Try and grasp the fact that the amount of activity staff are doing for patients has more than doubled in ten years!
Beds haven’t. Staff numbers haven’t. Time hasn’t.

Do not trivialise our NHS by turning it into an episode of ‘Dad’s Army’.
We have 100,000 NHS vacancies.
The reason we have these vacancies is that successive governments have reduced NHS salaries against comparators year-on-year. (1/4)

Our new NHS Reserves programme is being rolled out across the country. Local hospitals will be able to mobilise a broad range of fully trained staff, from retired doctors to IT experts, giving the NHS additional capacity when it needs it most.

We're not asking @ExeterChiefs to change the name. "Chiefs" is not offensive in the context of it describing the "first XV" in Devon rugby. We're asking the club to rebrand away from Native American cultural appropriation & instead relate to something local (e.g. Dumnonii tribes)

While we would agree that doctors should honour their commitments to already-agreed locum shifts within the limits of contractual notice periods, doctors are not required to cover long-term or known rota gaps… 1/4
