@offtheballbbc Scotland games. Was there 4 times. 69/71/75/77. Lost 4-1, 3-1 & 5-1 before winning 2-1 with goals from McQueen & Dalglish in 77. Got on the pitch, got my bit of turf, went home to EK.

@EKThistleWOSFL We've already met at Huntershill this season & we won 4-1 with goals from McAvoy Friel & two from Jake Hughes in November. Only in the past two seasons have we met in the league & we've won both games at The Showpark, 5-3 in 23/24 & 3-0 on 7th May last year.

A great old ground. Used to know a lot of people there on the committee, management & supporters.

Abbey Park, home of Kilwinning Rangers from 1899 to 2019. Well-loved by followers of the Junior game in Scotland. Sadly the ground was frequently vandalised after Kilwinning left. Unfortunately, many former Junior and non-league grounds suffer the same fate or worse.

@crockpics Another LP bought at East Kilbride music centre(Gloria's record bar) in Alexandra Arcade, East Kilbride in 1969. 5 or 6 really good tracks. My favourite probably "Girl from the North Country" duet with Johnny Cash.

@scotfootfixs In his book "The Accidental Footballer", Pat Nevin writes about having played at Gartcosh United as a young player. Great book by the way.

@scotfootfixs There was a team from Glenboig the other side of the M73 from Gartcosh played in the Central League for a short period from the mid 80's.

Five new clubs (so far) into the West of Scotland League next season. Annbank United are former juniors, so a return of sorts for them. Eddlewood are a Hamilton based amateur side.

@wosflweekly @Pyramidpro2025 Broadwood isn't ideal for anyone wanting to use the train. Parking nearby is a problem for the size of crowd our Cup Finals get. Interesting to see if the Junior C....oops Scottish Communities Cup final is between Buchanhaven Hearts & Dundee North End whether the venue is moved

On Sunday we discussed alternatives to Broadwood for our Cup Finals. I've always looked at St Mirren's ground and thought it would be ideal. Where would you like to see or is the status quo ok?

@crockpics Saw them at Green's Playhouse in Glasgow circa 70/71 in a front row seat in the stalls. Was first in the door & Townsend was warming up & handed down a broken guitar string .

Have used some of the international break to get back into reading, ahead of my annual book target for the first time in about a decade. Anyone got recommendations? Novelists and Authors I've enjoyed recently - Larry McMurtry, Emily St. John Mandel, David Grann.

@EKYM_FC @OfficialWoSFL Means there's quite a gap between 7th place & the rest now, with 8 teams going up. At EK Thistle we hadn't played BSC yet this season. Looks like 42 points will see promotion to Division 3 & the top 7 are already or nearly there.

Unfortunately BSC Glasgow have folded and cannot complete their fixtures. We would like to wish the players, coaches, volunteers and everyone connected with the club best of luck for the future. BSC results are now void as per the constitution and the @OfficialWoSFL Fourth Division table has now been updated.
