@mortenbraten @SteffenClauss Hi Morten. I just scanned the package body, but it seems to rely on utl_http.get_header, which is still limited. Is there a workaround?

#orclapex 24.2 question: I get an ORA-06251 when calling "APEX_WEB_SERVICE.MAKE_REST_REQUEST" - the cause is known (ResponseHeader too large in the SAP HANA API) - but how can I handle the error? I catch the error with an "exception when others", but what then?

@SteffenClauss @mortenbraten Looks like it’s a lower level issue (UTL_HTTP). I suspect there’s a way to prevent the service from sending the header. Other options get more complex (introducing proxy servers to strip the header, using alternative means to request the data, etc.). I’d go to the source.

@dmcghan @mortenbraten Thanks @dmcghan... Yes, as I mentioned I see the header f.e. in Postman. It contains all error messages, which I would also see in the body, for whatever reason ?!? In any case, there are sometimes significantly more than 32,676 characters...

@andre_blu @OracleCloud I agree with Kris - I would focus on tuning. The APEX Service's lack of SQL*Net can be limiting... How do you currently do deployments?

Currently running OCI ATP with ~600 concurrent users. We’re using 9 ECPUs and hitting up to 24 with auto scaling. Thinking about migrating to APEX Service to reduce costs. Will I face any performance/concurrency issues with that kind of load? #orclapex #oraclecloud @OracleCloud
