Steph Curry tells the story of wearing Anthony Edwards’ adidas AE1 and AE2 and talking trash with him on the sidelines:
“Ant’s shoe, he wasn’t playing that game, but when he came out I had texted him earlier, showed him pictures of the shoes like, ‘Yo, I’m going to rock these tonight.’ So I wore the (AE)1 pregame and then I put his twos on.
Funny story, the ones that I wore, I would shoot this full-court tunnel shot whenever we flipped sides in the arena pregame, and I have made it once before. But that particular game, it was my time to shoot it again, and I slung it from however far it is, watching, and it went in, and then I start sprinting down the tunnel. So I knew it was going to be a good night.
And Ant coming out on the court, from the first time he saw me sitting on the sidelines, we were talking back and forth, talking trash. I told him I was gonna bust him in his own shoes. He’s like, ‘I only got powers in these shoes, nobody else.’ So every time I made a shot, I looked at him. And then we lost the game, but we almost had a crazy comeback, and I hit like 3 threes I think, in the fourth quarter, and every time I kept looking at him. So those moments are so special, the competitiveness, but the respect is there at the same time.”

Nobody talks about the stage of grief where you can't even talk about it to anyone anymore because everyone expects you to be getting over it but it still runs through your mind everyday.
