@AestheticGamer1 I disagree. Weird fiction is my favorite genre and Resident Evil is one of the few mainstream Weird Horror genre’s I have.
Pharmaceutical company finding Cthulhu and trying to bottle IS a major reason I love the franchise. That doesn’t have to be the main plot but I do need it.

I think Resident Evil fans aren't ready for my take that RE is more "vibes based" than them caring specifically about the deep lore/characters/story in a bigger way, & that's actually part of why I think Zach Cregger is a good pick for a RE film since he's on the same wavelength.

ngl I feel like this is the most an RE movie has been scrutinized before it even came out despite every movie attached to this IP being ass juice and this movie being in the hands of an actual director.
