I’ve taught pop culture and modern society for 21 years, have a master’s in modern society and an MBA, this is kind of my lane. “Swagger” is technically about 500 years old, but it really surged in the late ’90s/early 2000s. That would put most people who used it then in their 40s now… so if that’s “young,” I’ll take it. I’ve never heard any of my students use it in any way. Drip, Aura Rizz, Himothy, and Cold. Honestly love this conversation I can use it in class Tuesday. I’ll just have to edit the profanity some people care about that stuff ugh…

Notice how really rich people keep encouraging people to go into trades, but none of them would want that for their own children. There’s nothing wrong with trades, but what they’re really trying to do is create a nation of service workers and laborers. People who remain in service to them. They want a much wider wealth gap than there is now. That’s why suddenly they are so anti-college and are trying to break the university system.

@itssunpi @space_canti It really depends on what your definition of “popular” is. I love them, but not a single person in my life has ever wanted to go with me. Meanwhile I can get hundreds of people to go to a concert, a game, or a movie. Popularity is relative to the crowd you’re in.
