Last night, our @KCCAUG sanitation teams worked tirelessly across the Central Business District scrubbing and washing key roads like the Grand Imperial Roundabout, removing dirt and debris to ensure a cleaner, Livable City.
By morning, the exercise extended to the Non-Motorised Transport (NMT) corridor along Luwum Street and Namirembe Road. Pedestrian walkways and cycling lanes were cleaned, cab markings repainted, and the green restored to promote air quality and beauty of Kampala.
Beyond the city centre, under the Weyonje campaign, we joined the community in Kasubi Parish Zones I & II for cleaning and sanitation sensitization. Together, we promoted proper waste disposal, identified full toilets needing urgent attention, and evacuated accumulated garbage, all to protect public health and dignity.
I call on residents, businesses, and boda boda riders to:
- Respect NMT corridor.
- Dispose of waste responsibly.
- Work hand-in-hand with us to keep our city clean, safe, and dignified.
Together, we can build a Kampala we are all proud of.

Dear @KCCAUG There’s a growing time bomb in Kampala and its outskirts that if nothing is done, could blow at any time in the near future and that’s none other than fiber internet Cables/wires and poles.
You see, I am a firm supporter of fiber internet as it offers cheaper and stable internet connectivity to businesses but also hundreds of homes making our internet connection and experience amazing. But this is coming at a very huge cost.
As internet providers increase, and so their need to reach more customers or users. This has forced them to extend their services to every part of the city and with this each company is using their own poles and wires or cables.
Their wires are making the city look a mess. It’s getting ugly every other single day. Before we know it, one spot will have like 20 poles including those of Electricity. incase of any fire outbreak, these could fuel its spread to homes causing more damage.
I am not an engineer to offer better technical advice but in my opinion as a farmer, I think these companies need to collaborate. One company does the installation of poles and they both or all use the same pole to transmit their wires or cables.
They all come together and pay for maintenance fee, among others.
Secondly, they could do underground wiring. I know we haven’t grown so much as city and a country at large but these are what we call necessary evils. The internet is here to stay. We out to find ways of dealing with everything it comes with.
With underground cables, surface cables will be so much limited and we shall ensure a safer city for us all.

@DavidAWandera The famous Karecera Samosas! The pride of Kabale town...

Spent some time yesterday at a Kabale classic (if you know, you know), and got some food for thought along with the snack:
Reputation remains the best advertising a business can ever have.
Foundational qualities like consistency, quality, and trustworthiness carry more weight than any currency. We are in the money business but at the end of the day, a stellar reputation is a unique asset because it must be earned and protected daily, yet it can never really be bought.
An unexpected musing from an unexpected stop.

📋 MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE OF KABALE MUNICIPALITY
My Dear Supporters, Friends and all People of Kabale Municipality,
I write to you today with a heart full of gratitude, though the outcome of this election is not what I had hoped for, I accept the outcome with the grace that our moment demands.
To every supporter who believed in my vision, to every volunteer who walked alongside me, to every member of my team who gave their all: I thank you. Your faith in me has been the greatest honor of my life. Together, we did everything we could. We campaigned with integrity, we spoke with honesty, and we dared to dream of a better Kabale. I carry no regret, for I know that we served with pure hearts and touched many lives.
I extend my sincere congratulations to all our elected leaders, and most especially to His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of the Republic of Uganda.
I pray that those entrusted with leadership will carry us toward the development and prosperity we all yearn for, that they will transform our dreams for Kabale city into living reality and critically bring healing to a deeply divided and wounded community.
Leadership is sacred duty, not privilege. The eyes of our children are upon you, and history will judge not your words, but your deeds.
My commitment to this land does not end with this election. I will continue serving Kabale and our country in whatever capacity I can, for service is not about position, it is about purpose. I remain your servant, devoted to the progress and dignity of our people.
My final word to you, the people of Kabale, echoes what I have always said:
“Tureebe Omumeisho, Tureebe Hare.”
With profound gratitude and enduring hope,
Dan Musinguzi Nabaasa
