This is not the Thomas Frank I recognised at Brentford. This Thomas Frank has been an absolute disappointment. Some of the worst football I have seen at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club since Nuno Esporito Santo. Thomas Frank was someone who kept defensive structure, and played DIRECT football. Players like Schade, Mbeumo and Wissa were able to offer movement off the ball, whilst players like Damsgaard were baiting press to create space to find them with ease. Their build up was sharp, and had the avenue of attacking fullbacks to fire in crosses if need be, not the wingers. Frank's build up has developed into 5000 sideway passes, have the fullbacks provide nothing in the Final 3rd, and instead have your most threatening player fire crosses in from the byline.
