As much as I hated playing through 06, there was a vision. The execution was just very poor.
Colors is just boring as hell.
At least these dudes have AURA.

@DXFromYT @magnumynous I’m glad you like em but those games were very hard to go back to for me. The levels are way too big and complicated for me to be running around aimlessly with the stiff controls. I had to use a video guide for every level

Capcom messed up so badly adding this "Modern" control scheme to the game. It NEVER works, they're always bad. You'd think someone would have learned from the 6th Gen fixed camera angle games without tank controls. I would kill to play Haunting Ground with actual tank controls.

@magnumynous @DXFromYT Honestly I think both styles suck in TR. the games are designed around the tank controls yes but they just don’t feel good in a platformer. I have no issue with them in resident evil

@DXFromYT I have the same opinion with the Tomb Raider remasters. I tried modern and it sucks every single time, it makes doing most of Lara's flips and movement way harder, least in TR1. Only time I use it is if I want to cheese a gorilla or lion from a distance and vantage point

@carb0xyde @TidyWire I don’t think assault was gimmicky. It made sense to try to flesh out the gameplay with on foot missions. Plus most people know the characters from Smash bros so it’s nice to actually see and control them outside of the ship

They forced platinum to use the gamepad and to copy 64, that's how bad it got

@carb0xyde @TidyWire I liked it. All they had to do was make a sequel to assault longer with more arwing sections. But Nintendo didn’t even develop any of the games after 64 they clearly didn’t care and just shoved it off onto third parties

@doaxvvthots @TidyWire And the singleplayer was short, no branching paths, and focused mostly on the on foot gameplay, which was fairly weak, with most of the levels being recycled form the multiplayer
