@cardiffcouncil Looking at rules for other councils in Wales they will accept recyclable wrapping paper if sellotape removed and it passes the scrunch test. Why is Cardiff an outlier in Wales on this issue?
Why? Wrapping paper often has high ink content and low-quality fibres, making it unsuitable for recycling—even if it says “recyclable.”

Not all wrapping paper can be recycled!
✅ Brown paper wrapping – Recycle in your blue sack
❌ Printed or coloured wrapping – Black wheelie bin or seagull sack.
➡️ We’ll collect one extra black bag of wrapping paper only with your black bin/seagull sack.
Just a reminder the “pram” space on buses didn’t exist until wheelchair users campaigned and protested for a space on public transport. So next time you go off at a wheelchair user for using the WHEELCHAIR space, remember it’s only even there because we fought for it.
@PollyonaHill@TheCiderShedPod No wonder we are so busy in Emergency Department if we are expected to do routine antenatal follow-up too. Obviously could only afford to pay one doctor actor.
I’m disappointed to announce that the highly acclaimed raspberries & dark chocolate brownies will not be delivered to A hospital or @CTMMedEd near you due to an acute severe shortage of unsalted butter…let’s hope this could be rectified soon!
@dgrog Switched to it a couple of years or so ago after got fed up of pulling teabag plastic skeletons out of my compost, I now have a cupboard full of infusers all different shapes and sizes!
Today’s ‘first world problem’…
I don’t have a plug that will allow the hoover to reach from one end of the room to the other. I’ve got to change plugs half way through. Very inconvenient 🙄
