These hadiths you talk about are not from the most authentic Hadiths (again Hadiths are literally graded by authenticity through chain of narration and corroborating stories) which is why they are so widely debated

Hand in hand I mean they refer to each other. Ppl read the quran 1st n then look at hadiths for additional shiz n implementation.

Quran is always number one and usually you will look to the Quran to backup what Hadith is saying. In this case there is no Quranic command to kill gay people so this Hadith is debated
