Spotted lanternflies are an invasive insect in Georgia. They will begin hatching from egg masses this month. Egg masses are often on tree trunks and branches and have a grayish muddy appearance. Start looking for tiny nymphs that are black with white spots. Early detection is critical to managing this invasive pest.
