Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has signed a law guaranteeing free breakfast and lunch for all students in the state, regardless of how much money their parents make. Tens of thousands of food-insecure kids will benefit.

@theREALchait @jbcarmody This is the first I’ve heard people advocating for other residents to get paid less. The solution here should be fair work hours and wage for all, not a lower hourly wage for those you think do less work.

I don’t usually brag about our residency program, but today I’m gonna make an exception. Like other children’s hospitals, we’re managing a surge in respiratory illness. But unlike most hospitals, we’re gonna pay the residents who work extra overnight/weekend shifts $100/hour.
