@LiLa__lee18 For me, it’s the excessiveness. My wife goes to Disneyland several times a month, and she wants me to go too. It becomes monotonous and boring to me. I want to experience new adventures. The Disney magic is gone, due to the repetition. There are more things to enjoy in life.

It’s no secret I love Disney. That being said, I really don’t understand why adults who enjoy Disney get so much ridicule. Is there an age cutoff for having fun? Once I hit adulthood was I supposed to hate rides and amusement parks? Do most people realize that many of the rides are thrill rides and not geared towards small children? I had a blast at Disney as a child, as a mother with my children, and now as an adult. For the people who care so deeply about this, why? It’s harmless fun.

@RichJWidmann Disney Adults are the most pathetic crop of humans. Reeks of immaturity and incompetence.

@michaelmiraflor It’s ok to be an adult who enjoys Disneyland. The problem, for me, comes from the excessiveness. When adults go to Disneyland a couple times a month, and it becomes as regular as a trip to the grocery store, it becomes excessive and obnoxious. Save your money for a real vacation.

Among my hottest takes are: - Disney adults (esp with no kids) are ruining it for families by inflating the cost of everything. - Disney adults should seek therapy to deal with childhood issues, not more trips to Disneyland. - Disney should not cater to Disney adults. It’s for families. It’s for the kids.
The New Yorker@NewYorker

For the most devoted fans, Disney has engineered an ecosystem of financial entanglement that goes far deeper than park tickets or merchandise, which keeps the magic—and the debt—perpetually compounding. In 2023, Ashley, a freshman at Quinnipiac University, in Connecticut, had $15,000 in her bank account. Excited by her newfound freedom as a college student, she decided to start going on solo trips. Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida, seemed like an obvious choice. She went during her winter break. Then she returned, six times, in two years. Soon enough, her account balance had dwindled to just five dollars. Perhaps unsurprisingly, many adults who have accumulated Disney debt seem to be chasing a feeling from their childhoods. One woman, who has been to Disney World more than a hundred times, said that visiting the parks takes her back to a time when she had fewer worries: “It’s the nostalgic feeling of what brought you joy when you were little and you didn’t have the stressors of adult life.” Read more about the Disney adults putting themselves in debt for the pursuit of magic: newyorkermag.visitlink.me/_JqtFg

@cpt_majestic1 @ClownWorld North Fontana, especially areas closer to Rancho Cucamonga are fine. Regular old, downtown Fontana has gotten worse though in the 40 years I’ve been here. Way over crowded. Just trying to drive down Sierra from Foothill to Valley is as bad as downtown LA now.

@ClownWorld My Dad bought a brand new house in Fontana, when I was a kid, for $86,000 (in 1987). My wife and I bought a house in Fontana, in 2022, for $705,000. None of it makes any sense.

@AndreSegers Compared to previous Mario Karts, and other games in the genre, Mario Kart World is a 7 out of 10. DK Bananza is the real deal, 10 out of 10 Switch 2 game. Honestly, I put Metroid Prime 4 ahead of World as well. They really barely even tried with MK World. Lazy game design.

@BlackMajikMan90 I don’t understand how such a well made film can be rated so low. It’s one of the better horror movies of the last few years. Honestly, I just think the kid angle turns a lot of people off. My wife found it very difficult to watch because of that. It was a 9 out of 10 IMO.

CALLER: I put $3,000 worth of monthly expenses on my credit card and pay off in full. I get 2% cash back, so that's $60 back every month. DAVE RAMSEY: Get rid of the card. You're telling me that you spend $3,000 on a high interest credit card, just to get $60? That's not how you get rich! CALLER: I don't pay interest, I pay it off every month and get $60. DAVE RAMSEY: Get rid the card, use debit cards ONLY! CALLER: So give up the $60 I get back monthly? DAVE RAMSEY: That's not how you get rich! In reality, if you are resposible, USE credit cards. It's not just cash back. It's also liability protection. Every dollar matters.

@MisterZy64 @BrerOswald I haven’t seen it, but using the galaxy moniker was probably a mistake. It set the expectations way too high and it probably doesn’t have much to do with the galaxy game. Calling it Mario 2, Mario land, mario world…any of those would’ve set simpler expectations.

@BrerOswald *the 1993 Mario movie comes out* welp its been a good run but guys Mario is finished. That movie will tank any goodwill to Mario. They should just cancel that Mario 64 game which they announced, it will fail

@BrerOswald I haven’t seen it yet. I have tickets for tomorrow. If it’s like the last one though, it will be nowhere near as bad as the critics are saying. The last one was perfectly fine. Making a movie out of a game series with very little backstory is a tough task.

@ZhugeEX Furthermore, This guy may also want to see a therapist, if a family movie makes him want to commit self harm. Perhaps somebody should call for a welfare check on him.

@ZhugeEX A zero?! OK…sure…whatever you say buddy. I’m sure the movie at least turned on and had animation comparable with most Hollywood CGI films. That alone makes it at least a one. Get this hyperbolic trash review out of here.

@BillShaikin I've never heard of this company, but by greedily naming the field after themselves, they've guaranteed that I'll never buy one of their products. Putting an ad on the outfield wall or foul pole is one thing. This is just outlandishly disgusting. The Dodgers should be ashamed.

@sondraa There were some really good kill scenes, and Gales entrance was cool. Besides that though, the plot and killer reveals were beyond lame. Not a very good movie. I actually liked IKWYDLS better, and that’s really saying something. Getting rid of Melissa and Jenna was a huge mistake
