I think shit like this warrants a discussion. I get the respect culture and legality thing, but how far is too far? Is seemingly sexualizing a kid not far enough for some people? At the end of the day, have a moral compass, and don't compromise it just because you like a company.

@esyntial0122 if they get paid in USD, they spend USD, it's a different economy. main roster stars get paid like 300k/year min, which isn't necessarily a better life than 10m JNY they be making back home. I think it's the idea WWE is the biggest stage so they just wanna chase the dream.

@MisterMorn @Oceansoup65 Aside from major Stardom names, their talent pool first consisted of mainly former AWG workers and gravure idols. in my personal opinion, if you're a fan of a particular person just for a few of her pics in bikinis, then odds are you're a weird guy. Those guys are their fanbase.

@Oceansoup65 I tried watching Marigold when it first started, but I didn't make it more than a couple of shows. I know it's almost a cliche to say after the fact, but it's true: the vibes of that whole show just felt "off" to me. I couldn't actually pinpoint why, but I have a better idea now.

@laknightingale The thing is Marigold itself sucks major ass. Utami was the face of it for a long time, but being the face of a bunch of ex gravure idols and new trainees ain't the same as being the face amongst Saori, Natsupoi, Suzuki, Maika, SLK, Syuri, and AZM.

@BigFellaThx yeah, and that's why I think "culture" is never a good excuse. What's culturally acceptable varies from culture to culture, but putting a kid that's 17 in skimpy clothing is always gonna be a moral violation no matter what.

@colemanb1975 @ChiefSymeris that's bad. It's one thing to have a system that doesn't help in sexualizing minors, particular in wrestling business when minors are overexposed at an early age. But it's another thing to not have a moral compass and realize legality and culture doesn't cover your immoral ass.

@fw_Badman The show just conveyed V1's effect so poorly. I assumed all the older folks had only V1 instead of regular V, and Homelander is the only guy who had taken both, so how would that affect him? Also V1 doesn't make you OP instantly it seems, as Stormfront can't tank a laser blast.

@girlygirlmath Act may not have been a newcomer per se, but she was just some woman in the business, whereas yoshiko was the proud pupil or nanae, and seemed to be a lot more well-connected with many ppl so I was just confused what Act did would require yoshiko to react that way.

@girlygirlmath No yeah I'm very aware of the lore and the two women's career. It's just interesting to me Yoshiko's career has been much better than Act's despite of her being the aggressor, like nobody seemed to care. Obviously she's a better wrestler than act but still.
