@KatyKray73 Your premise doesn’t hold up, in Australia the Liberals, right, far right have won 70% more elections than Labor, and just look where we have ended up, one trillion in debt, race baiting, nepotism in positions of power, rorts etc.

Labor/Labour/Left/Democrats/Greens have destroyed our countries. They make civilised countries into unliveable Hellholes. Why do people vote for them?

If you're even half interested in energy, I bet you've seen this chart. I call it The Most Hopeful Chart in the World. The point? We're embracing renewable power MUCH faster than expected. Hurrah! Only problem is, this chart has an evil twin. A chart we really need to discuss 🧵

“The Coalition’s nuclear energy plan takes a sharp turn away from a cheaper, cleaner future” thanks ⁦@simonahac⁩ & I would add the nuclear policy abandons rational market economics. Liberals who support this could only do so for tribal reasons. theguardian.com/australia-news…

South Australia awash with renewable energy again today. At one point, rooftop solar alone was delivering 83% of all electricity, and renewables in aggregate hit 112%. The result of this was that SA was exporting 15.8% of the electricity being generated.

@MargieJay50 @Caitlen2310 Australia is a BIG place, the sun is shining and the wind is blowing in more places than not, and guess what don’t forget about batteries, it’s forecast that most dwellings will have solar with batteries 2050 and beyond.

Who banned nuclear? Albo asks the media and they don't know! Albo on fire here🔥 "Dutton Barnaby Angus all on the record last term saying nuclear too costly" etc. t) They couldn't even build commuter carparks at railway stations, but built them when no station!
Squizz@SquizzSTK

media "will Labor drop its moratorium on nuclear?"🙄 Albanese corrects the error - John Howard did it, and LNP MPs bagged nuclear during the Morrison gov't. "These are people who are going to build nuclear reactors? These people couldn't build commuter car parks!!" #auspol

@CaroDiRusso Same reason the taxpayers will foot the bill for nuclear power plants, keep digging that hole.

@CaroDiRusso Apparently , according to Peter Dutton, our energy requirements are going to plummet by 2050, keep up.

@DeanRosario @Caitlen2310 Yes I noticed that, totally different attitude towards Labor by the press, to appease their editors must ask combative questions as if it was a Labor policy. Dutton is not forensically put under the bunsen burner, that’s the state of politics atm.

Just trying to understand: the Coalition claims it would keep coal power stations open until nuclear plants start operating. But the 7 nuclear plants are to be located on the sites of 7 coal power stations. Rome wasn’t built in a day and nor are nuclear power plants.

@deniseshrivell Find an obscure argument and then run with it for all it’s worth. Power consumption will be lower by 2050 according to Dutton, so that means that under a LNP government Australia will economically go backwards, the editors will be scrambling on that one.
