Farming! I have 20 hectares of land in Ijaye, Oyo state. I bought before traveling out of Nigeria, so when I can back to the country in 2021 I decided to put the land into use to make money so I called my farmer friend and we started planning! First I had to go to the head of town to inform him that I am back to use my land and that everyone that are currently farming on it are given the till the next harvest to stop farming on the land! Once he announced, I started getting calls from people pleasing they don’t have where to farm if they leave my land that they are willing to pay for lease but I had to explain to them that I’m going into farming myself too and I need the land in addition to other ones in other areas. I didn’t know that was my undoing! To keep the long story short, after that season, I had to step in to start work on the land and prevent the stubborn ones that still wanted to plant for new season. After claiming my whole 20 hectares I resurveyed and mapped it out and we started work. I brought in tractor and all, we did soil tests and followed every steps thoroughly. three weeks after planting, everywhere was green and flourishing and I was happy and already calculating how to expand to other places I have big lands. Only for me to wake up to a call few days later that everything on my farm have turned yellow and brown; they are all dead! Some of the youths of the area then told me later that I’m not the first to experience that in that area cos it also happened to a few people that have chased free land users from farming on their land because they wanted to start farming on it too. Make I no talk the long drama wey follow sha! I sha lost all money invested because someone among those using my land for free wasn’t happy I’m back to use my thing.

This made me remember a guy that recommended a painter to me. Because I trusted him, I sent the entire money for the job to the painter. As an average Nigerian, the idiot switched off the phone and ran away with the money. The guy who recommended just called me and told me to give him 2 days. At that points, I've already zeroed my mind. But he went on to arrest the painter mother and sister. The painter was also caught and arrested. The family had to call me to beg the guy. At the end, I was the one begging this guy not to send the painter to jail. It's better for some people not to recommend you at all. 😂😂😂

I called my father and told him that I wanted to put him and my mother on a 300k monthly allowance so they could stop working or at least rest properly and only work when they felt strong enough. He paused for a while and said, "Thank you very much, my son. The intention is very good, but I want you to start a family first. You will make that decision together with your wife." I asked why, and he replied: "300k is a lot of money and truly enticing, but I cannot be greedy and fail to tell you the truth. That amount is already more than 30% of your monthly income. Giving it all out now would not be wise at all. You should focus more on investing and building financial independence. You can give us something once in a while, but not a fixed monthly amount. Start saving that 300k every month from now until you get married and see how much it will grow." He ended with, "May God bless and keep you, my son. I want you to invest more because you are not truly rich until you start raising a family and providing for them". I love my father ❤️ Above all, love God.

Your portfolio should have three layers: 1. Foundation layer (40 to 50%): T-bills, money market, FGN bonds. Safe. Liquid. Earning 18 to 22%. This is the money that lets you sleep at night. 2. Growth layer (30 to 40%): Quality NGX stocks. Banking, consumer goods, industrials. This is where your wealth actually grows over years. 3. Opportunity layer (10 to 20%): Higher risk plays. Small cap stocks, sector bets, tactical positions. This is where you take calculated shots. Most beginners put 100% in the opportunity layer and wonder why they can't sleep. Build from the foundation up.

I don’t joke with my investment or my farm security. Before I touched the over 50 acres of land that I now farm on, I did something most farmers are too scared to do… I sat down with the king of the village 👑 Told him straight: “I’m bringing over ₦100M+ investment into your community. Jobs, development, money for everyone.” Then I added ONE condition: “No cows. No Fulani herders. Not even one.” Silence. He looked at me… then stood up. That same week, the king himself went out with his men and cleared every single herder out of that community. Even refunded people they had existing agreements with. Today? 3 years later… Not ONE cow has entered my farm. Not one is seen in the whole community. That’s how you protect your investment. Stop being emotional. Be intentional. Farmers and Fulani herders are not friends and can’t be friends

I initially wanted to just skip this, but here goes my story.. hopefully someone can learn from it. I was invested in agriculture, farming in particular. In 2023, I rented 4 hectares to plant maize and white beans. I had the experience and had done extensive research. 🧵

Farmers now get ₦30,000 - ₦33,000/2.5-3 tons of Pickup truck . When the cost of production is about ₦210,000, When will City Boy stop high flow of Food Importation? Even the Renew Hope Farmers are laughing outside and Crying in Secret. Maize case worst. #renewedhope #farming

If you have ₦500,000 and don't know where to put it, you're missing the January Effect rally. Here is my researched-backed allocation to maximize dividends & capital growth in 2026: 1. The Dividend Engine (40%) — ₦200k • Zenith Bank (₦67.00): ₦100k for steady payouts. • GTCO (₦99.95): ₦100k for efficiency & tech-upside. 2. The Pillar (30%) — ₦150k • Dangote Cement (₦635.00): The bedrock of Nigerian infra. A must-have Moat stock. 3. Digital Growth (20%) — ₦100k • MTN Nigeria (₦511.00): Data + MoMo Fintech = Defensive growth against inflation. 4. The Alpha Play (10%) — ₦50k • Aradel Holdings (₦724.00): High-growth energy play. Fully integrated and scaling fast. Summary: - 70% Blue Chips (Stability) - 30% Growth (ICT/Energy) Stop overthinking and start compounding.

The ₦1 Trillion Lesson Femi Otedola just sold his majority stake in Geregu Power for over ₦1 Trillion. He is not buying luxury. He is reallocating capital into Banking (First Bank). The lesson: Do not fall in love with assets. Fall in love with exits. The playbook: • Bought power assets when no one wanted them. • Fixed operations and listed on the NGX. • Sold near peak valuation and rotated capital. Retail investors hold forever because of emotion. Wealthy investors sell when the thesis is priced in. Assets are tools, not trophies.

Plantain built the structure.Pepper built the cashflow.Papaya and pomegranate will build the future. This is not coincidence. It’s a system. A system designed to crush poverty by removing the 'reset risk' that keeps farmers poor. If income only comes once per season, gaps appear. when everything depends on one seasonal outcome, failure means zero.

How to transfer your stock portfolio from one broker to another without having to sell them in Nigeria 1- Reach out to the preferred broker via email or any other means about your intention to transfer your account with another broker to them. 2-They will respond to you with their terms and conditions, in my case it was that the asset I’m transferring must be worth at least 1 million naira, this may vary from broker to broker. 3-Send them the list of all assets owned and number of shares owned in each. 4-They will now send you 4 pdf which include-a letter that authorises them for the transfer, a letter to the broker you have your shares with, letter to CSCS and a CSCS form. You will fill all this and return it to them 5- Send your CSCS statement, the broker you are sending from can generate this for you. 6-Send the CSCS statement to the receiving broker, this contains all the shares you owned, make sure not to have any pending transactions on CSCS portal when you initiate this process. Timelines- Initiated the process on August,25 and it was completed September 26. About 4 weeks, this varies from broker to broker, it maybe less or more. Also, it came with no charges, it might attract some charges with some other broker it depends.
