Peter Obi has now emerged as the lone presidential candidate of the NDC party. Frankly, that is the only route through which he could comfortably secure a presidential ticket. If there had been even one serious contender willing to challenge him within the party, he most likely would have abandoned the party, because history has shown he is not capable of facing internal party primaries against strong contenders. Lol!

OBIDIENTS ARE NOT HELPING PETER OBI'S CANDIDACY AT ALL. I am writing this because I would prefer a more balanced political field in this election. Honestly Mr Peter Obi has supporters but he's virtually alone in his mission. Why did I say that? An average Obidient doesn't tell you what Peter Obi's plans and legacies were . They don't even know. When we write to criticize him, they jump on the post with insults but not with evidence and facts. They're emotional, they believe you shouldn't talk about him but they can't even present facts to prove he's qualified to be president. They don't know that every public person must be criticized and screened. So Peter Obi is the only one running around trying to sell his vision, his supporters are not doing it . Honestly sometimes I pity the man because I know what it feels like to have thousands of supporters and all they do is make enemies for you and not sell your vision. Now compare them to an average BATIST. Check the pages of everyone who supports Tinubu. They're dishing out facts and data and telling you why Tinubu is the one Nigeria needs to vote for. This was exactly how we defeated Jonathan in 2015. The same crowd supporting Obi now were the same crowd who backed Jonathan. Instead of telling Nigerians why we must continue with Jonathan they were busy drawing images of Buhari as a devil or something bad . They couldn't prove their case. They were insulting everyone who was supporting Buhari and saw us as enemies. At the end, they lost. And in 2023 and now 2026 you're yet to learn how these things work? Honestly I pity Mr Peter Obi. You people are not helping him. I dropped a video this morning and my purpose for dropping that video is to prove to you people that you're not helping Mr Peter Obi. I challenged his leadership legacy based on the fact that he couldn't grow the parties he was given to manage. Instead of you people to take advantage of that opportunity to tell us why those things happened and his beliefs on building parties, you went on insulting me 😂. Going by the achievements of Seyi Makinde and Peter Obi as two-term governors, both are businessmen who have built industries, both are southerners, Christians, and relatively young leaders. However, Seyi Makinde today appears to have a broader understanding of Nigeria’s problems and political realities based on his governing experience. He is also younger and more energetic. This is why many well-meaning Nigerians, southern leaders, and clergymen should encourage Peter Obi to step down for a younger southern candidate who has the strength and energy to serve a full 8 years. Peter Obi himself has repeatedly stated that he would not want to remain in office beyond 4 years due to personal reasons, even “with a gun to his head.” If that is the case, then it may be better for him to support and mentor a younger leader who can sustain the southern presidency for a 8yr period. He should step down.

Tambuwal i a great guy. He is much likable and has many good friends across ethnic and religious divides. He does not have the crowd that Kwankwanso has. But he has elite consensus. In 2022 I was his head of strategy. I remember how badly we felt when he was asked to step down for Atiku. He would make a good president, but the opportunity has not come and may still come. Who knows. In 2023, I wanted him and Peter Obi to be on the same ticket. But it was not to be. And may never be. I retain high respect for him. He has shown great spirit by yielding to new kid on the block. He is young to wait or to excel in something else, meaningful. Best of luck
