Tameside Schools’ FA would like to thank @StDamiansRCSC for their support in the playing of the six Primary Cup Finals. It has been a great partnership since pre-Covid with Mr. Burtles and Miss Guilfoyle and a big thanks to the students who gave their time to referee the matches.

Final Tameside SFA finals took place tonight with @MoorsidePE winning the N. Tameside (Holmes) Cup against Holden Clough 1-0 and @RScottPrimary won 2-0 against Gee Cross Holy Trinity CE @tamesidessp

Yesterdat the Tameside SFA girls finals took place. Two very competitive games. @GreswellSports beat St.Stephen’s RC in the Emma Toone Large Schools’ final after a penalty shootout and @ArundalePri retained the Kate Stonehewer Shield for Small Schools beating @broadbentfoldpe 3-2

Two very enjoyable primary cup finals. @RScottSport retained the Tameside SFA (Heywood) Cup for large schools beating @GreensideSport and in the Millea Cup for small schools, @broadbentfoldpe needed a penalty shootout to beat @ArliesSport Thanks to @StDamiansRCSC for hosting.

First time it has happened in fifty years. The Tameside Small Schools’ Finals-Alan Millea Cup for mixed teams and the Kate Stonehewer Shield will be contested between the same two schools-@ArliesSport and @broadbentfoldpe Congratulations to both. @tamesidessp @newsintameside

Congratulations from Tameside Schools’ FA to Denton_College on reaching the @gmcsfa u-13’s girls cup final beating Priestnall School, Stockport, in a close match 3-2. Great to see.⚽️⚽️⚽️ vs 🏐🏐@tamesidessp @newsintameside @TamesideCouncil

An excellent cup match between @DowsonPrimary and @GreswellSports in the Emma Toone Shield semi-final with Greswell winning 3-2, making them the first finalist in this year’s tournament. @tamesidessp

Tameside u-13’s girls’ teams seem to be doing well in the @gmcsfa competition first round Co-op Academy, Salford 0 vs 5 @LaurusRyecroft ;@dcc_pe 6 vs 5 Blue Coat, Oldham and Oasis Academy, Salford 1 vs 4 @GAAshton_news @tamesidessp @Tameside_SFA

Still some primary cup matches to be played. Draw will take place towards the end of November and posted out in early December for the resumption in February 2025. @tamesidessp @TamesideCSSA

@Tameside_SFA Primary Schools Cup Draws were forwarded yesterday and schools are already arranging fixtures which pleases the Secretary. I think that this is the Fiftieth Anniversary of the TSFA but will confirm it later. One or two we’re around in 74. @tssp @TamesideCSSA

Attended the funeral today of @Tameside_SFA Life Member-John Mercer at St. Peter's RC, Hazel Grove. In the Order of Service was the photo of St. Mary's team who won the old Smith's Crisps National Primary Cup. @SchoolsFootball @tssp @TamesideCSSA
