@JacquiDeevoy1 I had the same after one high reading. All the other times they had done it came back normal. I’ve been working on healthy eating, more cardio and acupuncture to lamppost circulation.

I told the nurse today that I won’t be taking pills to fix my high blood pressure but will attempt to lower it by eating healthily, not drinking alcohol and doing more exercise. I said I’d rather deal with the cause not mask the symptoms. She shook her head and told me that if my high blood pressure turns out to be hereditary, changing my diet and lifestyle will do NOTHING to help and that my blood pressure will remain high unless I take medication. I was gobsmacked. Honestly, where do they GET these people?

@fireworkreform Just when you think they’ve stopped they start up again multiple times during the night. Our cockapoo has medication, a headband and still trembles at the noise.

How do we motivate people for change? Extrinsic motivators ("prods") work in some contexts but they often undermine ("crowd out") intrinsic motivation for doing things & they can backfire disastrously. That's because human behaviour is influenced by underlying norms, cultural contexts & intrinsic motivations that simple rewards and punishments cannot address. Sound leadership is about attracting those who want what you want & leading them with shared values in pursuit of a shared purpose. #more-34041" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">digitaltonto.com/2024/why-incen…. All the single ladies…what’s it like going on holiday on your own? Do you feel safe doing so? Nearly booked yesterday. Finger hovering over the ‘Book’ button & bottled it. Ive never been on holiday on my own before, despite being widowed for 12yrs. I’m too scared to do it.

Learn About the 10 Principles for Good Design, to Boost Your UX / UI Designs, by Dieter Rams! 🔥🔖 1. Good design is innovative Possibilities for innovation are not, by any means, exhausted. Tech development is always offering new opportunities for innovative design. But innovative design always develops in tandem with innovative technology, & can never be an end in itself. 2. Good design makes a product useful A product is bought to be used. It has to satisfy certain criteria, not only functional, but also psychological and aesthetic. Good design emphasises the usefulness of a product whilst disregarding anything that could possibly detract from it 3. Good design is aesthetic The aesthetic quality of a product is integral to its usefulness because products we use every day affect our person and our well-being. But only well-executed objects can be beautiful. 4. Good design makes a product understandable It clarifies the product’s structure. Better still, it can make the product talk. At best, it is self- explanatory. 5. Good design is unobtrusive Products fulfilling a purpose are like tools. They are neither decorative objects nor works of art. Their design should therefore be both neutral and restrained, to leave room for the user’s self- expression. 6. Good design is honest It does not make a product more innovative, powerful or valuable than it really is. It does not attempt to manipulate the consumer with promises that cannot be kept. 7. Good design is long-lasting It avoids being fashionable and therefore never appears antiquated. Unlike fashionable design, it lasts many years – even in today’s throwaway society. 8. Good design is thorough down to the last detail Nothing must be arbitrary or left to chance. Care and accuracy in the design process show respect towards the user. 9. Good design is environmentally-friendly Design makes an important contribution to the preservation of the environment. It conserves resources and minimises physical and visual pollution throughout the lifecycle of the product. 10. Good design is as little design as possible Less, but better – because it concentrates on the essential aspects, and the products are not burdened with non-essentials. Back to purity, back to simplicity. @qatarairways bit disappointed to get email suggesting a flight carrier is unavailable, in reality on itinerary our flight has moved to earlier one which if I bought today is £400 cheaper than the one I’m meant to be on which is also still available to purchase.

@PaulBrandITV I’d say she already a powerful person with the first few points you made…Leaving school to look after a child, then supporting your children with their and having drive to do stuff for yourself when you’re doing loads as a mum is pretty impressive.

This is so sad - this veteran and many more were prepared to give his life for this country and luckily didn’t but must have so many traumatic memories and @RishiSunak couldn’t give him his time. His own campaign was obviously more important. #shamefulsunak
