@ScoringChanges @Pirates @Mets If an infielder misjudges a ball, perhaps running the wrong angle, it’s an error though. But if an OF does it, no error.

Lots of folks wondering why the two plays to Oneil Cruz in the @Pirates at @Mets game were recorded as hits. Here is the first one, and you can see he misjudges this line drive, and he comes in and then it sails over his head.
MIsjudgement is NOT an error, so this correctly went down as a triple. Is it a ball that he needs to catch? Yes. Is it an error? No.
An error is a physical misplay, and there is not a physicial misplay here.

@susietimm @BastienFachan There’s no photo of them at that location - it’s not them in the photo LOL
English

@susietimm @BastienFachan There’s one in IW too, and it’s been there for years.

I didn’t understand this one. There’s an element where it looks like he is squaring Thornton up and then kinda leans into the tackle head first, but to me it looks more like a head drop into a form tackle. It’s certainly not launching and leaving your feet to hit. Thornton definitely drops his head/body but like that’s what he’s gonna do when he senses contact. In terms of a play to get ejected, I didn’t think that met whatever standard they use. I don’t think the intent was there (he’d have just run full speed and launched himself if he was going for maximum carnage) and they were judging the outcome, not the input, which was admittedly an awful injury.

@ScottDKushner Been going on for years and years. If this guy loses his job, he’ll work for CSA for awhile doing searches for other Univ,. Until he gets hired somewhere else potentially.
CSA hires CSA, including the AD, and various coaches.

@bestcoastbias I am kind of wondering with the pending return of Bryce Miller from the DL if they create space between Woo's starts. Even this week, he'd be able to get 6 days of rest of between starts if they start Miller and keep Evans on turn.

@TBTimes_Rays That's likely going to be appealed (the error) Kelly (pitcher) was in the way of Caminero's throw to 1st after the Baltimore-chop...so he had to wait to create an angle.
English

#Rays Aranda's left wrist is the area of concern, and he leaves game, clearly in pain and frustrated

@fantasybbhero Still paying Jeimer's contract, have a solid 21-year 3B prospect in Stewart, plus 5 currently 40-man rostered guys who have 3B experience (Lux, Steer, CES, Marte, and Espinal)...but lets add a guy who has 2 HR's in 100 games and makes nearly $9 mill per year?

@nadalprop_ This match, plus the major championships he won at the Australian and French Open’s were the final pieces of his great career. He actually suffered a cracked rib in this match against Carlos, and then an abdominal tear in the Wimbledon quarters against Fritz (he won the match).

@BastienFachan Not saying that she doesn’t feel stress on the court, but to slow things down and use medicals when you’re losing…it’s pretty obvious this is a reoccurring theme
English

@BastienFachan This has occurred numerous times in her career, including the very memorable French Open semi against Sakkari where she stated after the match h she felt stress and required medical attention. It’s even happened at Wimbledon before abcnews.go.com/amp/Sports/gar…

@EvidenceProf Huge tennis fan (and I love playing the game too). You’ll have to work a tennis angle or fav story/theme into an intro for a show at some point! Only request is that it has nothing to do with pickleball!

Love La Monf still grinding out five setters this year at age 38.

@EvidenceProf @Undisclosedpod Thank you for the reply. No way I would tune out : )
English

@doodlejumpking @Undisclosedpod I think that's a fair point. Other than the info from Benaroya, a lot of this has been about presenting loose ends that we haven't been able to wrap up. But Episode 6 will definitely have closure.

More than a decade of work + hundreds of hours are coming to a conclusion as I draft the Actual Innocence episode of @Undisclosedpod as we've finally proven Adnan Syed's factual innocence in connection with the death of Hae Min Lee.

English

@EvidenceProf @Undisclosedpod With that said, I realized from your previous work (and your blog over the years) how easy it would be for anyone to wrongly incarcerated. And I appreciate the details you've nailed down time and time again.
English

@EvidenceProf @Undisclosedpod I've listened to every episode forever on this case, including the amazing work between 2015-19 that you and the team did. Few podcasts investigate like that. Nevertheless, the most recent work feels full of "what if's" and uncertainties - it's been hard to follow. Just my $0.02
