@itrue98 @nelo390 @RobertJALA @sean_gause This kind of shader would probably be used in the case of buildings that you aren't going in, can't go in, or potentially can go in but behind a load door (for example, in another level). In such cases, it wouldn't make much sense to render the interior in 3D space.

🤦‍♂️ I meant optimize like optimize how things are actively rendered so the game runs smooth dummy. For example, if you have a building with an interior, you can just not have it be rendered when the player isn't inside of it. People build these grand worlds for players, but then it's just a box to look at and has no functionality. Personally, what I think makes games great is interactivity that the player would typically not expect that could create humor. This is why BF4 physics was so much fun. Because you could launch a friendly tank into the stratosphere with C4. It's a mechanic that's unexpected and brought interactivity that made the game truly memorable.

Here's a better idea of how parallax can be used to fake interiors in games
