@dortinfantry
Just a man trying to close with and destroy idiots. Motivated to make the US less retarded. Active Duty Colonel. 2.9 GPA. 11A to 11A. Views are everyone's.

I’ve watched this and other reporters line up to dogpile @infantrydort this morning. I don’t agree with Dort on everything but I recognize what these reporters and others like them are missing about him. At a time when people have become deeply skeptical about our institutions, be it journalism or Congress, and when the lines between what is real and what isn’t are being blurred by AI and outside interests, Dort is as authentically human as the rest of us, and he is a true believer. This authentic quality is something those who have been so embedded within their respective institutions have also missed with respect to the larger American public - we are deeply in search of something and somebody “real” to reflect back to us what we have been missing in those who claim to represent us. Whether you agree with him or not, Dort represents a vision of what our current elected and appointed leaders believe this country and our military should sound like. 77 million people weighed in on this in the most recent election. This is what democracy looks like. The fact that Dort says what he does doesn’t make it partisan. The fact that more than half of the country, as of November 2024, agrees with him also doesn’t make it partisan. These are facts. The political class is courting those, like Dort, who believe we’ve gone too far in politicizing everything under the sun and would like to see our institutions focus on what matters to that majority of Americans. And they should. If our institutions were more willing to evaluate *objectively* what Dort says, without their own bias and preferences for status quo they would understand why we are as “deeply divided” as they keep claiming we are.

This is laughably pathetic... Like just the staff process of however this sad ass LTC @infantrydort gets tasked to come on this site and defend fkn "Big Balls" being selected and put into a counterterrorism role... 🤣🤣🤣 Also.. dort... the challenge you made.. I'm waiting...

@dortinfantry Aren't you supposed to give your lecture on 'queer theory' in class today...

@dortinfantry He didn't have more military experience. He wasn't any more or less qualified for the position than the current @SecWar is. The fact you want to call my factual recollection of how Hagel was treated compared to Hegseth "AI Slop" shows how little intellect you actually have.

If you want a date @laraseligman, you’re gonna have to ask like an adult.

Hey @SecWar and @SeanParnellASW it's kinda funny that all of these people bashing Sec Hegseth for only being a Major...had no problem with Sergeant Chuck Hagel serving as SecDef.

My sour relationship with the media began in 2011, Kandahar. Some journo was shadowing me for a bit. We were in a tough spot in Zhari district. Had a hard time keeping the enemy at bay. And we brought like... every U.S. asset to bear on them. Boots on ground is gospel though. And we only had so many. Anywho we needed a way to limit enemy freedom of maneuver, so we built a wall. Yea yea yea we built a wall I don't wanna hear it. Was it the best idea? Probably? Probably not? Results were mixed BUT I DIGRESS. I didn't know how to interact with the media. The dude was trying to be all buddy buddy. I'd been in country almost a year so I let it ride. I was in my element as the chief of operations by that point. I finally felt like a duck in water in the HQ. Got my stride under me and such. So I really didn't filter my language because he was shadowing while the fight/wall build was going on. Long story short, I thought he was gonna say certain things in the article. He did not say those things. And he painted the effort as foolhardy while the boys and girls were down there trying to just get it done. All in all not a TERRIBLE piece by today's standards. But it still pissed me off. I asked him specifically to note certain things to tell the story of 2-502 and he just didn't. So yea, that's when I started disliking journalists. thetimes.com/comment/regist…

A serving US Army officer, working in Hegseth’s office, posting racial slurs & describing journalists as “civilisation destroyers”. Doing all of it anonymously. A good indication of the ethos of the Pentagon in this moment.

@JohnJHarwood You must be a hit at the elementary school lunch table with these insults.

If you’re a Vietnam vet, welcome home. Seriously. GWOT vets share an unspeakable bond with you for obvious reasons. Also, if you did serve in Vietnam, I’d like to know.

At every Pre Command Course that I have attended, each cohort has brought up the issue of the investigation culture and the impacts it has on Commanders and how they Command. Every 4 star that got that question answered it about the same, it started with we have all been investigated and we got you. But no substance. Nothing just hollow words. Then we finally have a SecWar @PeteHegseth that is now backing up his words that he has Warfighters back with action not hollow Words, this is the change this Military needs, support to the Warfighters not bureaucracy! @infantrydort @SeanParnellASW @USW_PR_HONTata @ASDMandRA

No patches on either arm, wearing a cowboys hat, and sneakers with no name patch on his chest. This look like stolen valor to you guys? Or is he just using old surplus camo.
