Founders: don't raise money right now. Pause your efforts, come back in 2 weeks. Most firms give staff the time off and aren't going to run a fire drill for you. Also negative selection bias: typically only poor quality companies and poor quality firms are in market right now.

Yep, well, that's me (to be clear - I didn't vote because I'm not a US Citizen but I donated and supported Harris). I think the Dem's have a flawed retail offer but I don't think Trump will bring in the benefits to hard working people that they think he will.

To be very clear - I am very worried for society more broadly about Trump winning, I've donated to Kamala Harris. My question is solely as it pertains to AI and Crypto assuming the American public in their wisdom decide to return Trump to the White House.

Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, David Sacks and JD Vance (who is long time mentored by Peter Thiel) will control AI and Crypto legislation if Trump wins. Trump has no personal view or vision on these topics, nor does it detract from his own desire to be POTUS. Is that good or bad?

Ok. I’m seriously considering putting together a coast to coast train trip using old Pullman cars leaving from Emeryville and landing in NYC, sometime next year. It would take 4-5 days and it would be a conference, where talks would take place in the observation dome. I call it trAIn (get it?) It will be all things AI, juxtaposition of future against a steampunk but once in its heyday futuristic form of travel. Tickets for this will be expensive as chartering trains is no easy feat. I’ve gone on one of these once and it’s a real adventure filled with breakdowns and all sorts of joys of the railway. However - I will reserve some rooms for those who can’t afford it but have meaningful things to add to the discussions. If I do this - who’s interested? Maybe we do round trip? Can pick up people in NYC and bring them back to SF.

If I was 20 years younger and lived in Texas/happy to move to Austin, I would apply for this in a heartbeat. Not only is Josh an amazing guy this is basically a fast-track seat into establishing an amazing network and career in startups.

Drugs Abortion Marriage Freedom is about giving people the autonomy to do what they want within the boundaries of civil society. Educate them about those decisions, tax them on those decisions (drugs), but let them decide what they do with their bodies.

Never used weed or any drugs ever in my life (people find that hard to believe, it's true!) But lets just get on and legalize marijuana (and most other drugs) and remove the criminal element. The war on drugs failed.
