@stnluu Fix is deployed and rolled out on macOS. Stupid copy+paste error confirmed. 😅 Working on Linux build now, and will deploy fix to Windows later (don't have that machine on me atm). Thanks again!

@DotPurpleApp Found a bug with macOS app packaging. When the profile runtime is "Other", the command being run is uses the literal string "Other" instead of the user input: dotnet publish "my project.csproj" --framework "net8.0" --runtime "Other" --output ...

Happy #dotnetconf day! DotPurple 1.11, released last month, supports .NET 8, decreased app size, increased performance, and has updates to the macOS notarization process. Oh, and unlimited trial licenses while our store is down! Enjoy .NET 8 today, everybody! #dotpurple #dotnet

While we wait for our storefront to be re-enabled, we're working on some updates to the app: In the next update on macOS, you'll be able to use `notarytool` for macOS instead of the soon-deprecated `altool`, which results in faster notarization and less code.

Our storefront is down due to it being disabled by our vendor (no clue why, have filed a support case). Please let us know at info@dotpurple.io if you have any issues/questions/concerns/alternate speeches. We'll get it up as soon as we can. Thanks!

Manually signing and notarizing macOS apps is not a fun afternoon 🙈

@samafshari @MikeCodesDotNET I'll note ahead of time that our method of notarization does require Xcode, which I believe technically isn't required anymore? (We haven't updated it since we don't want to fix what isn't broken. May need to anyway with altool going away in November, IIRC.)

@samafshari I’ve been doing it this afternoon. Finally got it working. I’m advocating that we make a tool to simplify the process. I’d personally pay €25 for an idiot proof packaging tool for macOS.

AvaloniaUI is what DotPurple on macOS and Linux is built on. It only took us about 3 hours to upgrade to .NET 6 and Avalonia 11 from about halfway between 11 and the previous stable version. If you haven't tried it yet, go for it! It's the best desktop UI framework out there.
