really the only downside from the day was that it was the same day opus 4.6 came out and i spent the second half of the night thinking about agent teams

i'm sure every board meeting is different based on the CEO + culture, but this one was all gas no brakes

i went into my first board meeting at Netic fully expecting it to be: slides -> status updates -> boredom

so if you want to become a better engineer, figure out who your customer is for the problem you are solving, figure out how to solve it, and then after you solve it make sure it actually solves the problem well.

people are always looking for ways to become better engineers and look at micro optimizing some shit that doesn't matter at all. 99.9% of engineers are terrible at what you'd assume is a basic skill in engineering.

it has always been weird to me when people look for “product-minded” engineers only for product engineers, but for every other role they’re like fuck it, get me a code goblin.
