Over 4,400 U.S. service members died in the Iraq War from the invasion (Mattis commanded) March 2003 through the official withdrawal in 2011. This result of those lives lost was a new war fighting ISIS in 2014. I respect Mattis, but he has very little room to publicly critique a Middle East military operation lead by those who fought under his command simply because it doesn’t mirror his strategy and doctrine.

THIS person was surrendering and THIS officer kicked her legs out from under her and knocked her to the ground for no apparent reason. Was the take down unnecessary? Yes. However what was the call? What was the information they were acting on? Let's also not exaggerate. This is NOT what routine looks like for black people in America. Maybe you should watch more YouTube videos & see how black people act in police interactions.

Thank you. That is tremendous. I will get a copy. Dachau never left my Dad. One of the things he was tasked w doing was shooting all the dogs - many of which were eating the bodies. As a result, he had this blind spot toward them and didnt want any dog near him. Very difficult for a family of dog lovers. There were so many little tics he had as a result. He also had nightmares for the rest of his life. In 2019 he and my Mom (still alive today at 97) were staying with us for Christmas. Suddenly my wife and I bolted upright at around 2:00am. We could hear him screaming in the guest room downstairs. Then we heard my Mom calming him down. They were married in 1952 so she was an old hand at this. He died December 26, 2023 at 102 years old. A good man. A good father. A good husband and a good life.
