I get the gatekeeper point but I personally am from europe and got deep and honest passion and love for hip hop culture. I don’t make money from it but I also think hustlin and getting a bag has always been a big part of the culture too. So what’s the issue with a european trying to make money with something he loves? Why should europeans be gatekept from hip hop as long as they’re keeping it real. Honest question trying to understand the issue

I feel you and you’re absolutely right. My pushback on this is that HipHopNumbers has never been that. He’s never tried to be an “online gatekeeper” or anything of the sort. He’s never tried to “fit in”. He’s never tried to “sound like one of us”. Just a regular guy who built a business off his love for Hip Hop, lyrics and numbers. Me personally, I see no wrong in that. Now them other niggas we been putting on blast for the last two days? Yeah them niggas different and your tweet definitely applies to them.

Y’all pushing it now. Publicly, @HipHopNumbers has said multiple times he was Australian. He’s never hid that. He’s never been on here saying “nigga” this & “nigga” that. I hardly even see him use slang. He doesn’t pander or try to portray himself as something/someone he isn’t. He just tweets Hip Hop numbers, facts, educates people on certain aspects of numbers and he is just always himself, which from what I see, is a normal Hip Hop fan. And therein lies the difference between his account and them other accounts who are clearly frauds. Hip Hop Numbers is good in my book.
