Also, will there be funding to provide digital devices to pupils to replace the lost benefits that mobile phones can bring to the classroom? Giving them access to MS Teams/Google Classroom, or other edu tools?

There has been a fairly clear consensus on the merits of the announcement to ban or restrict mobile phone use in schools, though the evidence is, I think, more complicated that many present. Important that other perspectives, like @MatthewTaylorNI, are taken into account.

Exasperated I just said ‘no’, but he had the right address. Eventually I tried to squeeze the bag he had through the gap in the door but it didn’t fit so I had to bravely open the door. Anyway, if any one is missing an order of loaf of bread, minstrels, Pringles & a vape 3/3

@michaeljswalker Come on. There’s an ethical/cultural issue here. It’s not stupid. If the current books are selling less due to the dated nature of some of the ideas. Fine. Write and sell other books. Don’t edit a dead authors words

The Roald Dahl controversy seems stupid. It’s not censorship, it’s a publisher recognising that parents care what values books imbue to their kids and so they’re modifying originals to try make the reprints more sellable. It’s about sales not cancel culture.

@belfastcc @BrysonRecycling What is the reason why bins being collected on any other Christmas holiday date have been given an alternative date within a few days but bin collections on Tue 27th Dec have no alternative date and will need to wait for 2 further weeks?
