ANOTHER NPS REOPENING IN WASHINGTON DC: After months of being closed and under construction, the statue at the Philip Sheridan Memorial in Washington DC has officially reopened this afternoon 🏇 As part of President Trump’s ‘Make DC Safe and Beautiful’ Task Force, the @NatlParkService repainted the statue black (previously green) and has ensured that the water fountains are flowing once again. Previously, the fountains on both sides had been inoperable. The equestrian statue of General Philip Sheridan sits at Sheridan Circle on Massachusetts Ave NW. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held by the National Park Service at 2:30pm today for the grand reopening.
