Well something really special happened last night.
The Maggie Oliver Foundation became winners of the Micro-Organisation category at The Northern Power Awards.
It really is so nice to be recognised for the tireless work each and every individual at TMOF contributes.
With everything else going on, it would be easy to forget the critically important work we do @TMOFCharity that goes on relentlessly despite all the ‘extras’ going on right now including the Judicial Review, this new ‘statutory enquiry’ etc.
Seeing just a tiny bit of all the incredible work going on in our newsletter is a reminder of just how far we’ve come in 7 years, just how much there is still to do but also how incredibly proud I am of my wonderful team, that is growing by the day. Honest, decent, caring, committed humans who are as committed to and passionate about our work as I am, and who are determined to fight alongside and support those who come to us in their hour of most need.
This Winter edition features the harrowing 3 part podcast of @fionagoddarduk as told to journalist @bindelj and @OpenJusticeIE . I’ve worked with Julie on many stories over the past 10 years but I’d encourage everyone to listen to this podcast. It’s one of the most eloquent and clear descriptions I’ve ever heard from any survivor and it clearly explains how these sexual predators exploit vulnerable children and then just won’t let them go…
