BREAKING: “We will replace the ambulances that were destroyed in the horrendous attack.. the NHS will pay for the permanent replacements that are going to be needed. That is the right thing to do.. This is an attack on all of us who hold the fundamental British values of tolerance and respect” says Prime minister Keir Starmer
Together with our allies, we condemn in the strongest terms recent attacks by Iran on unarmed commercial vessels in the Gulf, attacks on civilian infrastructure including oil and gas installations, and the de facto closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iranian forces.
I’m proud of our tolerant and diverse country.
I’m proud that in Trafalgar Square we celebrate all faiths.
That’s British values.
The comments from Nick Timothy are shameful. Kemi Badenoch should do the right thing and sack him.
The UK government is actively reviewing the future of the BBC licence fee, with the current model guaranteed only until the end of the Royal Charter on
December 31, 2027. While a "media tax" is a strong possibility, it is one of several models being considered for post-2027 funding, following a shift in viewing habits.
The "Media Tax" Proposal: Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has described the current funding arrangements as "unenforceable". The government is considering replacing the flat fee with a more progressive "public media fee" or broadband levy you will have to put in your License number before you can access the internet or TV...... now thats a rip off because you ALREADY pay for those services, now they will FORCE EVERYONE to pay the BBC as well.
So they tell you they are going to end the BBC license and everyone cheers, then the Gov hits you with a Media Tax to fund their propaganda machine the BBC.
This government has the right economic plan for Britain.
Stability in the public finances, investment in infrastructure, and reform to our economy.
We’re changing Britain and our economy for the better.

Rachel Reeves says that Brexit did 'deep damage' to the UK's economy, equivalent to an 8 per cent hit to GDP
She says it has led to higher costs for businesses, higher prices in shops and shrinking markets for exporters
'Brexit did deep damage. Recent independent studies indicate its GDP impact could be as much as 8 per cent. It has meant higher costs for businesses, and therefore higher costs in our shops. It has meant shrinking markets for UK exporters and our strategic industries exposed as protectionist barriers rise worldwide.
'Deals with India, the US and other allies are extremely welcome and beneficial but no trade deal with any individual nation can outweigh the importance of our relationship with a bloc with which we share a land border, with which our supply chains are closely intertwined and that accounts for almost half our trade. There is also a strategic imperative for deeper integration between the UK and the EU. Where it is in our national interest to align with further EU regulation we should be prepared to do so'
Sir Keir Starmer announces that his government will provide £53m in support for people who use heating oil.
His pledge comes after prices almost doubled since the start of the conflict in the Middle East.

@UKLabour As a small business owner, I still couldn’t & wouldn’t take on a youth worker. Despite training a dozen apprentices over the years, too many costs associated now & increased risks.
@UK_Needs_Reform 👍🏻 yes drill in the North Sea, but licenses should be issued at a fix rate price for oil & gas sold to the uk with the uk having to be serviced first! Stop price hikes & shortage of oil for uk markets!
🇬🇧⛽ Should the UK produce more of its own fuel again?
Across the country, energy policy is becoming a major topic of debate. Some voices argue that increasing domestic production — including using resources from the North Sea — could strengthen energy security, support jobs, and reduce reliance on imports. Others believe the priority should be accelerating the transition to renewable energy and reducing dependence on fossil fuels altogether.
Supporters of domestic production say producing fuel locally could help stabilize supply and protect the economy during global energy shocks. Critics counter that long-term investment should focus on clean energy, efficiency, and sustainable alternatives.
⚖️ The issue raises an important question about the future of the UK’s energy strategy: balance between energy independence, affordability, jobs, and climate goals.
💬 What do you think?
👍 YES – The UK should produce more of its own fuel.
❤️ NO – Focus on renewables and move away from fossil fuels.
Those in genuine danger will always have a place in Britain - but those who try to game the system will be removed.
We’re overhauling the human rights laws used to delay removals, making it easier to deport or remove illegal migrants from the UK.
@Ed_Miliband@UKLabour Yawn! 🥱 or you drill baby drill in the North Sea, with licences issued on a cheap fix rate price for the uk! It’s simple really isn’t it!!
1/ Global events demonstrate the need to go further and faster in our drive for clean power, because there can be no energy security while we are so dependent on fossil fuels.
That’s why we’re accelerating our clean power mission.

@TruthFairy131@Rogue_Gunner12 Unfortunately in the UK 🇬🇧 we ain’t allow to carry anything that we could use to defend ourselves! Successive governments have taken away our abilities slowly, claiming it’s the right thing to do. Guns, knifes, pepper spray all illegal! We are left defenceless!
🔥 BREAKING 🔥
A woman in the UK who stabbed a man to death as he sexually assaulted her has lost an appeal against her 17-year jail term.
Martyna Ogonowska was handed almost a life sentence aged 18 after being convicted of the 2018 ‘murder’ of Filip Jaskiewicz, 23, in a Peterborough car park for using a knife she said she carried for self protection to DEFEND herself.
Ogonowska had already suffered PTSD as a result of having been raped in 2015 when she was 14.
Her rapist was not prosecuted and the judge said that the intercourse was consensual, despite her age.
She was 14 YEARS OLD 😡
WHERE IS THE PUBLIC OUTRAGE?
WHERE ARE THE PROTESTS?
17 years in jail for defending herself.
The UK is basically saying, you cannot defend yourself against predators.
Why isn’t anyone defending this woman? This could be your daughter, sister, wife or mother.
Sick, twisted & deranged.
Wake TF Up 🤨
@KarlTurnerMP Fuel price for diesel in Hull has gone from £1.34 to £1.59 in the last 14 days. Governments suggestion raise income tax 2p to help people with the costs of fuel! Really! Tax on fuel 57% how about dropping it instead!
Phoebe Plummer, the Just Stop Oil activist, received a two year prison sentence for hurling soup over Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflower painting in London's National Gallery back in October 2022.
Does the punishment fit the crime?
