"Mr. Jones" is autobiographical. Adam Duritz wrote the song in 1992 inspired by a real night when he and his friend David Jones (a bass player) were drinking, playing the guitar and fantasizing about becoming famous. Adam sang "I wanna be Bob Dylan" and the two imagined what life would be like as rock stars. The track was released as the lead single from their debut album August and Everything After (1993) and placed Counting Crows in the mainstream worldwide almost overnight. Adam even said that the lyrics became a giant irony: he sang about wanting fame before he had it, and suddenly he was living exactly what he dreamed of.

A Russian kid fell to us in the draft, put up 60+ pts as a rookie at 20 yrs old. Came in his sophomore year “out of shape” & extremely misused in both 5v5 & the power play, yet he still reached 20G & 50+ pts. It’s the coach’s job to fit this player in his team, period.

Michkov played poorly in the playoffs. Fact. Tocchet did not put him in a position to succeed. He shuffles lines to accommodate other guys struggling, but will not do that for Michkov. He goes upstairs. That’s not an excuse for Mich, but it doesn’t look good going into offseason.

Sixers prioritized draft assets and haven't invested anything in winning with the current group in a year and a half—and still beat Boston. You might not like the stealth rebuild plan, but from that perspective this season was definitely a success

If Briere lets Michkov go 2 years after losing Cutter Gauthier I’m completely out on this front office and calling whatever this is a failure cause it surely wasn’t a true rebuild. Fire them all if that’s the case because they can’t keep young talent that they drafted themselves.
