Originally self taught, needed more so I went to @LaunchAcademy . After a few years, wanted more, graduated from @wgu … now, still want to know more, currently @GTOMSCS . As well as a full time engineer @codeclimate - as a teacher of mine once said. “You have to own your experience (education) —@dpickett” That statement carries me through some difficult parts of life. You have to add tools to help you succeed. It’s not always going to be laid out on a platter and served to you. Take ownership of your goals, and you can do anything. So, is it worth it? That’s really up to you. Is it worth it to you?

well that was cool. I just pushed my first @obsdmd plugin for approval. github.com/dpickett/open-… kudos to the devs what a great experience for extending the application. If you’re not using a tool to keep track of your notes, I highly recommend it.

good bye old dusty friend. You pushed a lot bits and bytes for me. Out with the (very) old and in with the new.

@amyhoy Inherently I think fear holds so many people back from showing their work and pointing at problems they're facing. Unsolved problems === knowledge work. One benefit of our connected world is to plug into the hive mind to find a better (and in most cases, abstracatable) solution

@PavelASamsonov it’s amazing how that is an afterthought when it’s supposed to be representative of the BUSINESS VALUE the dev is supposed to deliver. The focus always seems to be on the “I want to…” - I often see role not getting the attention it needs, too.

I am once again asking you to stop writing user stories without including the "so that I can..." part at the end.

We’re getting ready to pre-launch our Foundations course. If you’ve learned to code or are learning now, what held you back or slowed you down the most?

@wuputah @wuputah if you find something workable please let me know. We write all of our user stories in markdown and I tried to find something decent about a year or so ago and came up dry.
