You should be absolutely embarrassed in 2026

@AuclairCapital When does the admin start reshoring chemical production as well? They seem forgotten and charts are beat up. China has taken most of that production over the years

@AuclairCapital @calvinfroedge Unless there’s a different one it says it’s November 14-16, not this week.

@froggytrade When I was in Australia I watched a guy finish surfing pull out a coffee, whopper and cigarette in 30 degree heat on the beach and I’ve never seen a better vibe to this day
English

@Waynestang @rohindhar totally understand that. there's got to be a price that you could recruit from middle america where there is some interest in the trades? even for a fly in fly out type scenario.

@dpings87 @rohindhar I am in the home renovation business but not in that market, so I cant speak intelligently on those numbers. Part of the problem is that the last two generations have been told to graduate hs go to college and sit in an office. Supply of skilled labor down drastically.

Was talking to a developer in San Francisco yesterday and asked him what the economics of home flipping was these days
He said the absolutely cheapest a professional home flipper can renovate a home these days in SF is $500-600 psf
So if you’re a homeowner maybe budget 2x that for a run of the mill renovation and way more at the high end
English

@Waynestang @rohindhar wild. wonder what the demand for renovations is. Seems easy enough to bring in a team and get to work at those rates. Blows my mind if thats a real number

@KISS_RHINO So bad. Long term it may reshore a token amount for insurance but this doesn’t happen quickly or willingly. Very confusing tbh
English

@KISS_RHINO I just don’t see an easy way out that doesn’t end up inflation ⬆️. Market wise I’d be surprised we’re up here end of summer if that happens but I’ve been on the wrong side of that call before 😅
English

@KISS_RHINO Roger that. Similar thinking anyways. If they pop tariffs back to 150% do we go back to the same scenario again with no shipping orders waiting for another pullback on policy
