@Ed_Miliband Stop importing oil and gas,and drill for our own in the north sea, it has to be cheaper than exporting it from countries that get it from the same place you refuse to drill from.

1/ The rise in the price cap because of a war we did not choose is deeply unwelcome news for households across the country. We know people were under pressure before this crisis, and that’s why easing that burden is our number one priority.

@RisingGemsz Easier transfer to complete for the amount we agree. Makes it easier to negotiate with Brighton or West Ham with the threat of walking away as not desperate hole in squad

The sequencing of our midfield recruitment feels entirely backward. If Mateus Fernandes and Baleba are missing the World Cup, and we already know Anderson is unlikely to join, why hasn’t the club prioritized signing them first over Éderson? I’m convinced that if INEOS had wrapped up two marquee midfielders first, people would’ve been far less concerned about Éderson joining as a depth option.

What INEOS do this window will tell me everything I need to know about them going forward. Everyone knows what we need especially in midfield. That is one area where they cannot afford to make mistakes. We need two marquee signings in that Midfield at the very least. I don’t know how Éderson will turn out, but he is definitely not one of them.

💙👋🏼 Pep Guardiola: “Don’t ask me the reasons I’m leaving. There is no reason, but deep inside, I know it’s my time”. “Nothing is eternal, if it was, I would be here. Eternal will be the feeling, the people, the memories, the love I have for my Manchester City”.

@s_16_j @Muppetiers At this point I just assume anyone bringing up the Delap talking point is 12 or has a room temperature IQ. Half the league wanted him at £30m. We also chose Lammens over Martinez which reportedly annoyed Amorim

@Muppetiers so who wanted Delap and Martinez? pretty sure we went for Sesko and Lammens after both transfer failed to materialize.

For anyone who needs to hear this: Vivell is Director of Recruitment. He's not cowered in a corner while mean Mr. Wilcox is throwing out random player names. Every recruitment choice is a collective.

@jhonrobles99 @OjoDeSauron_ This is the dumbest take. Its not tennis where a one on one is a measure of both players. Its two clubs. One saddled by Glazer debt and carried by a couple of great players, and declining senior pros vs Messi, Iniesta, Busquets and Xavi etc. Henry played the first game ffs

No somos iguales.

Ferguson won with Aberdeen and had to rebuild United from scratch . Jose inherited already successful teams and spent a fortune to play the most joyless football ever Pep inherited a Barcelona side with Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Alves, Pique, Pedro, Ya Ya Toure, Etoo, Thierry Henry , Puyol, Pedro and even sold Ronaldinho and Deco 🤣🤣🤣 Never built a side from scratch ever
Barça Zone@BarcaZoneHub

🚨 Sir Alex Ferguson needed 26 years to win 38 trophies in England. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🔴Carlo Ancelotti needed 29 years to have 30+ trophies. 🇮🇹 🔴Jose Mourinho needed 24 years across Europe to have 26 trophies. 🇵🇹 🔴Pep Guardiola has won…….see below

Back in 2021 Man Utd had a choice of Declan Rice or Cristiano Ronaldo Any guesses for what that commercial focused club chose

Sir Alex refused to go out the way Pep is. He came back after the heartbreak & controversy of 2012, poached Robin van Persie from Arsenal to spearhead a title charge that was over in March when they were 15 points ahead. If not for a farcical Nani red card vs Real Madrid in the Champions League that to this day makes zero sense, it could've been an even better final season. That's how you go out. On top, undisputed. Not with a pathetic whimper out the back door before the final day, while wearing the worst hi-viz kits imaginable. There are levels here. Good riddance, Pep.

@theDean1658409 @FiaBunny108 @TheAthleticFC 1) Fergie didn't have highest spend. Only occasional big transfers, supplemented by academy and 'profile' players who weren't top class. 2) he competed against Wenger's Arsenal, unregulated Abramovic Chelsea and then 115 charges City, while managing Glazer debt

Sir Alex Ferguson will probably always win the argument as the Premier League’s greatest manager thanks to that longevity and the extra silverware which came with it. But Pep Guardiola is surely the most transformative, owing to the way his style, and variations on it, has been adopted across the nation from grassroots to top flight. History tells us that certain managers at certain clubs are simply impossible to follow, and Guardiola’s impact at Manchester City surely puts him in that bracket. 📝 @SamLee | Free to read 🆓 bit.ly/4wBvsbd

@theDean1658409 @TheAthleticFC Fergie always played by the rules, and was not aided by 115 times where rules were broken. Pep was unable to take Bayern to the next level despite huge spend
