He fought for freedom, loved his family fiercely, and lived his life with quiet strength rooted in faith. Three years ago, God called him home, but his legacy of sacrifice and love lives on in our hearts forever. 💔🇺🇸 Dad, thank you for your service and for being the greatest hero I’ve ever known. I miss your voice, your wisdom, and your hugs more than words can say. Good Morning, Friends & Family ☀️🙏🏻🇺🇲 On this peaceful Memorial Day morning, as the sun rises and paints the sky with new light, my heart turns first to gratitude and remembrance. Today we honor the brave men and women who laid down their lives for the freedoms we cherish. Their sacrifice is a profound picture of light breaking through darkness; heroes who stepped into the shadows of war so that hope, liberty, and peace could shine for the rest of us. As I sit here reflecting on their courage, I’m reminded of this beautiful truth from God’s Word: “For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” ~ 2 Corinthians 4:6 This verse touches me deeply today. Just as God spoke light into the formless void at creation, He continues to speak light into the darkest places of our world, and into our own hearts. Our fallen soldiers understood something of that calling. They faced unimaginable darkness, yet their bravery became a beacon for generations. Their legacy reminds us that even in the hardest battles, light can still break through. Heavenly Father, On this Memorial Day, we come before You with thankful and humble hearts. Thank You for the incredible men and women who answered the call to serve and protect our nation. We remember those who paid the ultimate price. The mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, husbands and wives who never came home. Comfort the families who still carry the ache of their absence. Wrap them in Your peace that surpasses understanding. Lord, You are the One who commands light to shine out of darkness. Shine Your glorious light into our hearts today. Help us never take for granted the freedom that was purchased with such a high cost. Let the light of the knowledge of Your glory in the face of Jesus Christ fill us with hope, strength, and renewed purpose. Guide our steps this morning and throughout this day. May we live lives worthy of the sacrifices made on our behalf. Teach us to be lights in our own communities, showing compassion, standing for truth, and loving others as You have loved us. We lift up all who are grieving, all who are serving today, and all who carry the weight of memories. Be their comfort, their strength, and their hope.
