A mini course on psychology should be required for priests. It should focus on teaching us how to identify things like this & encourage us to have a good psychologist we can refer people too once we see signs.

Once again begging my brother priests to educate yourselves and take seriously: scrupulosity/ocd, anxiety, depression and other mental/emotional/psychological sufferings, so that the rest of us don’t have to try to undo the harm that you unwittingly inflict in the confessional.

Crisis faith - calling on Jesus only in desperate situations - is still faith. Jesus honors this kind of faith.
But, he wants our faith to grow from crisis to confident faith - believing him for who he is and not only for what he can do.
