So proud to have been involved in this wonderful conference. A space for exploring alternatives and creating connections with forward thinking people.
Head First Case Management@Head_First_LLP

Thank you to all who attended our conference yesterday. Our fantastic speakers gave really engaging and informative talks, and we hope you enjoyed them as much as we did! A huge thanks to our sponsor @wearechroma, exhibitors, and @abi_solutions for organising an incredible day.

A packed theatre for this @Head_First_LLP conference, where Dr Priyanka Pradhan starts us off by asking what thoughts and emotions we associate with the word alternative? @dr_ppradhan #HFCONF24

@ajlees That’s one of my first questions … “where were you born and brought up” way before I enquire about ‘the problem’ or presenting issues should I say.

I always ask people where they grew up not only because it occasionally gives diagnostic clues (eg Cape asbestos factory in Barking,Widnes chemicals ) but because where one grows up has some effect on a person's virtues and humours ( Yorkshire folk very different from Cockneys)

When I started working in the NHS I was a fan. What the Conservative party have tried to do is transform me into a player- a piece of merchandise without an undying loyalty to my team that they can more easily manipulate from the board room I'm not the only one.

Wonderful opportunity has arisen at St George’s outpatient Neuro diagnostic services. We welcome clinical psychologists with some who are or keen to expand their Neuro experience and work towards their QiCN. We provide supervision for this. jobs.nhs.uk/candidate/joba…

@Damian_Barr Wish I could have made it in person but family commitments meant I couldn’t. The power of technology allowed me to be there 😊. I haven’t read Maggie and Me, but I’ve just ordered it. Take lots of care of yourself. Your story is so important.

@sillyoldjen Hi Jenny, thank you for raising this,I haven’t got a simple answer. I have debated it lots with colleagues and discussed with clients. The reason we chose the term PCS for the title was multifactorial, but within the first section of the book I spend some time discussing it.

@dr_ppradhan I've asked this Q lots but nobody replies: why is it called #postconcussionsyndrome & not what it is: #BrainInjury ? I think insurers & govts & everyone prefer this silly name because it implies less harm/damage so lower liability for those guilty of causing it. Must change.

Love this quote “As we navigate and explore the vast sequelae post-injury, it is the voices of the patients that we must closely listen to in order to gain a clearer understanding of which therapeutic tools and treatments can assist them in recovering functionality.”

In honor of #BrainInjuryAwarenessMonth , I'm pleased to share my latest @PsychToday post on healing from a #traumaticbraininjury with a special mention of the insightful book on #postconcussionsyndrome recovery by @dr_ppradhan and @LoveBrainReset1 . psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-ne…
