Sahibzada Farhan shows real quality. He flat bats to be effective in T20 but hits straight. Two hundreds in this tournament makes him a standout batsman.

میری پیاری بہن، میری ہمدرد، میری دوست، اورمجھ سے بے پناہ محبت کرنے والی ڈاکٹر زعیمہ علوی احمد اللہ کو پیاری ہو گئیں۔ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ وہ ایک نیک دل، مخیر خاتون تھیں، جنہوں نے اپنی زندگی اللہ کی رضا اور اور اُسکے بندوں کی خدمت میں وقف کر دی تھی۔ بالخصوص اپنے شوہر ڈاکٹر رشید احمد کی 2019 میں وفات پانے کے بعد سے ان کی اللہ سے قربت میں اضافہ ہوتا گیا ۔ اور جب فرشتوں نے انہیں آواز دی ہوگی: يَا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ ارْجِعِي إِلَى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَرْضِيَّةً فَادْخُلِي فِي عِبَادِي وَادْخُلِي جَنَّتِي "اے نفس مطمئنہ! اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹ آ، تو اس سے راضی اور وہ تجھ سے راضی، پس میرے بندوں میں شامل ہو جا اور میری جنت میں داخل ہو جا۔" تو میری مطمئن بہن اپنے رب کی طرف چل پڑی ہونگیں۔ اے اللہ! اپنی رحمت سے ان کی مغفرت فرما، انہیں جنت الفردوس میں اعلیٰ مقام عطا کر، اور ان کے درجات بلند فرما۔ آمین۔ میری بہن کے ساتھ جن کا زندگی میں کوئی تعلق رہا، میں التجا کرتا ہوں کہ اُن کی کوتاہیوں کو معاف کر دیں اور ان کے لیے مغفرت کی دعا کریں۔ اللہ آپ پر بھی اپنی رحمت نازل فرمائے۔ آمین۔

The incredible Fauja Singh has been used in Frailty Academy teaching for many years. A testament to healthy ageing and the power of exercise. And the socialisation he had in later life through community and celebrity. Sad to see he did not die of natural causes. Phenomenal life!

Couldn't agree more @lucypgeridoc ! If a care home resident is really unlucky, they fall and ambulance crew follow protocol which says off to ED and all else follows. Ambulance/paramedic access to cons geriatrician can reduce conveyances but NICE guidance needs to change.
