@heymrsbond Loved tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, cloud cuckoo land, our missing hearts, remarkably bright creatures, black cake, lessons in chemistry, house in the cerulean sea
Teaching the science of reading helps teachers understand how the brain learns language and the natural learning process. Understanding how to teach reading can dramatically change the educational system.
Treating teachers like professionals is critical for morale.
* Trust their input/ feedback
* If you need to meet w/ them, let them know why
* No unnecessary meetings, btw many are unnecessary
* Don't address issue w/ staff that you have w/ one
* Praise more than you critique
@DrBradJohnson Mr. Niblet, who read aloud to 7th graders on Fridays. Inspired my love of and passion for reading. I'm a teacher librarian and certified reading specialist, and proud to share the love of good stories!
I had several teachers who impacted my life. One was my life science teacher in 7th grade (Ms. Mueller). She did lots of hands activities had the best review games with prizes, and made class fun. BTW, I became I life science teacher! Who impacted you?

The best way to see Van Gogh's "Starry Night" is to stare at the center of the spiral for 20 seconds and then look at the painting.
RT when it works for you.
Just got word from my kids' school that one of the students just got COVID and we got an email saying our kid (didn't tell us WHICH kid) was in close proximity of that kid but we didn't have to do anything. JUST SO WE KNOW🤷♂️
How's your school handling COVID infections this year?
Wonderful day working with our amazing bus drivers, learning how trauma can impact our students. Our drivers are often times the first and last to interact with our students. Those interactions support each student every day. Thank you! @hcpsmhzone@HCPSchools@HCPSSTUSERVICE
@thatliBEARian If you have an office, don't use/overuse it. It makes you less approachable. And carry a book with you as often as possible - great conversation starter!
