In speech-language pathology, the term resonance refers to how nasal a person’s speech sounds. For example, when someone is congested they likely sound hyponasal (nasal enough). This is due to the congestion blocking sound from being resonated in the nose. ataxia.org/scasourceposts…

I’m Speech Science, we talked about how F3 differentiates /r/ from /l/ based on the dip in F3. A student asked me about trilled /r/-anyone know? Does it still have the dip in F3 but just oscillated?
