@KEN21194 I think we are confusing things here. A fight using more strategy/writing behind it should not be considered. It goes down another category (plot, stakes etc…) From a pure visual and choreography perspective MT is better. It’s a fact even though I enjoy re:zero much better.

@drakail Rezero fights are more unique less about overpowering opponents and more about strategy and planning. Finding regulus weakness, petelgeuse soul transfer, and sirius soul damage transfer are perfect examples.

That's the problem in our fandom. This scene shouldn't be justified. It's torture. Just because its a failed loop doesn't mean it means nothing. But Rem afterwards did everything for Subaru and this scene makes complete sense because of her backstory. But it shouldn't be okay.
