@DrCABerry I did not like "dumb" homework. You know those mind-numbing ones where you copy stuff off the book, or do some stupid word search. I can't tell you how many times I got in trouble for not doing homework in high school. I was, however, fine with grinding out challenging ones.

What is the most important number in academia and why?

Playing #DogPark by @BirdwoodGames. It reminds me a bit of #Wingspan but with 🐶. There's bidding, traveling like #Tokaido, set collection, and resource management. There Is a sense of familiarity, but most importantly, did I mention that there are 🐕‍🦺🐕🐩🐾🦮?

@AcademicChatter My advisor always pay for thr trip up front and I always pay for my students if they have results to present.

@Ebonyteach professor's home (as a class) to have dinner and games was the first time I ever set foot in a Canadian's house, and felt a sense of community. That's why I do it now. But I agree, times have changed and there may be other ways to show care. Thanks for this thought-provoking post

@Ebonyteach who professors who invited the whole class to my house for lunch and board games. (Open sign-up, over 12 people, fixed time limit) and go to bar night with seniors (organized by seniors as a whole class). I did that because as an immigrant, being invited to my freshmen Calc

Dear @FoodNetwork, There is no way administration will let their teachers take off because they don’t have any subs. Instead, take this on location to a particular school and let the teachers compete in front of their students so they don’t have to get a sub🤷🏻‍♂️
