عزيزتي الدوحة لا أكتب إليكِ مجاملة، فهذه ملكة لا أتقنها، ولا تملقًا و بيننا أربعة وعشرون عامًا من الرفقة النبيلة، وقد مضى من العمر أكثر مما بقي. أكتب إليكِ من قلبٍ وقع في غرامك ببطء منذ أن وطأت قدماي أرضك في ظهيرة حارة من تموز. كنتِ يومها صغيرة وادعة وملاذاً من صخب المدن. وسرعان ما ألفت روحي سكينتك. لا تشبه الدوحة غيرها فهي تمنحك شعورًا نادرًا بالفردانية الإنسانية فلا تكون رقماً في زحام بل حالة لوحدك ..أتذكرين طرقاتك التي نمت وتفرعت وامتدت أمام أعيننا تحت ناظري أشجار النخيل تحرس الأيام ؟ طالت الأيام يا غالية وصارت شهورًا وسنوات، ارتفع البنيان وتلوّن، لكن شيئًا أصيلًا في جوهرك لم يغادر .. تلك السكينة التي تسكنك. أهل البلد حكاية أخرى ، كأنما خُلقوا له وخُلق لهم ..هم في سكون لا تسمع لهم شجاراً أو صراخاً أو ما يؤذيك في كلمة أو نظرة أو حركة راقون محترمون ، آمنون مؤتمنون ، هنا تنام وباب بيتك مفتوح أو تنسى محفظتك فتعود لتجدها حيث تركتها أو تسبقك إلى الأمانات. هل أبالغ؟ هذا ما عشته وهذه شهادتي وربع قرن فيصل بين الطبع والتطبّع. قبل أيام خرج أحد أبنائك يشرح للناس ما تعنيه تنبيهات الإنذار من الخطر. قال لهم: نعلم أن بعضكم قد ينزعج أو يخاف… أما أنا فأحزن. هذا الصوت غريب عنك، وهذه الجروح لا تشبه وجهك الجميل الذي تعب أهله طويلًا في إظهاره بأبهى صورة. لا تستحق هذه البلاد إلا الخير والوفاء وصناعة الجمال. عزيزتي الدوحة، لقد عشت فيك أكثر من نصف العمر، وكل ابن آدم مفارق يومًا عن طيب أو عن كره ، لكن الروح التي سُكبت في بيوت سكنها وطرقات مشاها وأيام قضاها بين بشر من ألطف وأكرم الناس ، ليست مروراً عابراً في دروب الحياة ..إنها حياة كاملة. ومن احتويتِه بين ذراعيك لن يتركك في وقت الضيق عالحلوة وعالمرة معِك .. كوني دوماً بخير 🌹

10 رسائل ربانية لتهدئة قلبك في زمن الزلازل والحروب: ​1️⃣ فاطمئنوا: لا تسقط قذيفة، ولا يشتعل صراع، ولا تتحرك بارجة في بحرٍ أو صاروخ في سماء، إلا بعلم مَن لا تَخفى عليه خافية؛ فكيف بكونٍ كلّه تحت تدبيره؟ 2️⃣ فاهدؤوا: الحروب، الزلازل، الأزمات الاقتصادية… ليست عبثًا ولا فوضى؛ إنها ضمن جيشٍ خفيّ اسمه جنود الله، تتحرك بأمره لا بأمر الملوك والرؤساء. 3️⃣ فافهموا: قد نغرق في التحليلات: من انتصر؟ من خسر؟ من يملك السلاح الأقوى؟ لكن الحكمة الحقيقية أعمق من كل الشاشات؛ لله تدبيرٌ لا تدركه عقولنا المحدودة، لكنه يجري بدقّة لا تخطئ. 4️⃣ فاعقلوا: الابتلاء مِصفاة لا تستثني أحدًا: شعوب، حكومات، قوى عظمى، وأفراد عاديون مثلي ومثلك. تُغربِل القلوب: من يتوكل على السلاح؟ ومن يتوكل على الله؟ 5️⃣ فتذكّروا: هذه الدنيا ليست قصرًا أبيضَ نعيش فيه آمنين؛ بل طريقٌ ملتوي مليء بالمطبات، خُلِقنا فيه لنتعب، ونُختبَر، ونُربّى… ثم نرتاح هناك، حيث لا حرب ولا وجع. 6️⃣ فاستبشروا: حين تتيه الأمم في سباق السلاح، ويُظَن أن القرار بيد هذه الدولة أو تلك القوة… يرسل الله منبّهات قاسية في ظاهرها: حروبًا، أزمات، زلازل… لكنها في باطنها رحمة توقِظ الغافلين، وتردّ القلوب إلى باب السماء. 7️⃣ فاستدركوا: قد يكون البلاء رسالة خاصة لك أنت: – إمّا رسالة حب: ارجع إليّ، لقد اشتقتُ إلى سماع صوتك في السَّحر. – أو جرس إنذار: صحّح مسارك قبل أن يُغلَق الباب. 8️⃣ فتأدّبوا: نحن ضعفاء، نخاف من الأخبار، نرتبك من التصعيد بين الدول، ننهار من خبر فقدٍ واحد… ومع ذلك يظل هو الكريم، الذي خلقنا في أحسن تقويم، ويقبلنا كلما رجعنا، مهما لطّختنا فتن الدنيا. 9️⃣ فافرحوا: ﴿فَعَسَىٰ أَن تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا﴾ قد نكره الحرب، الخوف، اضطراب الأسعار… لكن من رحم هذه المحن قد يولد وعيٌ جديد، وإيمانٌ أعمق، وعودةٌ صادقة إلى الله لا تشتريها الدنيا كلها. 🔟 فاصبروا ﴿وَلَا تَيْأَسُوا مِن رَّوْحِ اللَّهِ﴾ اليأس ليس خيارًا متاحًا للمؤمن؛ حتى لو اشتعلت المنطقة بين إيران وأمريكا، وحتى لو اشتدت النيران في أوطاننا؛ يبقى في قلب المؤمن نافذة اسمها: رحمة الله لا تُغلق. محمد الغزالي

I am a diplomatic aide in the Sultanate of Oman's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. My job is logistics. When two countries that cannot speak to each other need to speak to each other, I book the rooms. I prepare the briefing materials. I make sure the water glasses are the right distance apart. You would be surprised how much of diplomacy is water glasses. Too close and it feels informal. I walked it two hundred and twelve times in February. This is good for my cardiovascular health. It was less good for my knees. Both are in the service of peace. By mid-February, we had something. Iran agreed to zero stockpiling of enriched uranium. Not reduced stockpiling. Zero. They agreed to down-blend existing stockpiles to the lowest possible level. They agreed to convert them into irreversible fuel. They agreed to full IAEA verification with potential US inspector access. They agreed, in the Foreign Minister's phrase, to "never, ever" possess nuclear material for a bomb. I have worked in diplomacy for seven years. I have never seen a country agree to this many things this quickly. I made a spreadsheet of the concessions. It had fourteen rows. I color-coded it. Green for confirmed. Yellow for pending. By February 21 the spreadsheet was entirely green. I printed it. It is on my desk in Muscat. It is still green. That phrase took eleven days. "Never, ever." The Iranians initially offered "not seek to." The Americans wanted "will not under any circumstances." We landed on "never, ever" at 2:14 AM on a Tuesday in Muscat. I typed the final version myself. I used Times New Roman because Geneva prefers it. The document was fourteen pages. I was proud of every comma. Here is what they said, in the order they said it. February 24: "We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity." — The Foreign Minister, private briefing to Gulf Cooperation Council ambassadors. I prepared the slide deck. Slide 14 was the implementation timeline. Slide 15 was the signing ceremony logistics. I had reserved the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Room XX. It seats four hundred. We discussed pen brands for the signing. The Iranians preferred Montblanc. The Americans had no preference. I ordered twelve Montblanc Meisterstucks at six hundred and thirty dollars each. They arrive on Tuesday. February 27, 8:30 AM EST: "The deal is within our reach." — The Foreign Minister, CBS Face the Nation. He sat across from Margaret Brennan. You cannot negotiate with a country at four percent connectivity. You cannot negotiate with a country that is being struck. You cannot negotiate. This is not a political opinion. This is a logistics assessment. February 28: The governor of Minab reported forty girls killed at an elementary school. I do not have logistics for that. There is no slide for that. The water glass chart does not cover that. February 28: Lockheed Martin: up. Northrop Grumman: up. RTX: up. Dow futures: down six hundred and twenty-two points. Gold: five thousand two hundred and ninety-six dollars. An analyst at AInvest published a note titled "Iran Strikes: Tactical Plays." The note recommended positions in oil, defense stocks, and gold. A bypass was fashioned from the right common carotid artery to the right subclavian artery, followed by the deployment of a Castor endograft and a Talos endograft (both manufactured by MicroPort-Endovastec). A covered stent (VBX) was positioned within the left subclavian segment of the Castor endograft. Case of the Day - 179 - CT Lymphangiography for Lymphatic Duct Disruption and Bilateral Chylothorax 63-years old, CKD on dialysis for 4 years developed bilateral chylothoraces 3 months ago and was referred for a CT lymphangiogram (CTL) While there are different ways of doing lymphangiograms, a relatively new technique is CTL with intranodal injection of non-ionic iodinated contrast and rapid scanning within 2-5 minutes. The video explains what I did - injecting a retroperitoneal node in the prone position instead of an inguinal node with a successful CTL showing lymphatic duct obstruction at the D5-6 level. The paradigm has changed. This procedure is now simple and can be performed by anyone who can put a needle into a node proximal to the site of obstruction with intranodal injectino of regular non-ionic iodinated contrast.
