We are deeply saddened to share the news of Prof. Frans Claas's unexpected passing. His contributions to histocompatibility and immunology significantly advanced our understanding of organ transplantation, leaving a lasting impact on science. Beyond his groundbreaking work, Frans was an inspirational mentor and a genuinely kind person. His enthusiasm, generosity, and dedication influenced us all.
